travelling from Moorthorpe, on the approach to Baghill station there is a cutting and, on both lines, in the cess there are street type lights (no longer appear to be in working order) does anybody know what their purpose was as there are no cross overs or sidings in the area.
There appear to be two new companies in the Leeds area, but I am struggling to find any website or information such as contact details/ fleet lists and such like.
The first company has a school contract and goes by the name of City Transport and the only information available seems to suggest it...
whilst looking around on google earth at railway locations, I looked at the old Kellingley colliery site. At the righthand side of the site there appears to be two short rakes of rail wagons that are trapped - so why were they there? were the wagons moved out by rail, cut up on site or still there?
I have Lima class 47530 in revised network southeast livery, however the blue is of the lighter shade as applied to 47579. I can only find pictures of the real loco in the darker blue so am assuming Lima made an error ?

Due to not having a tram then losing the trolley bus battle Leeds was awarded a one off cash payment to be spent on a range of schemes to improve public transport -- mainly buses. As expected most of the money has been squandered on stupid 'vanity' projects'. How would you have used £190m to...

due to an unintended design flaw there is a rapidly increasing number of incidents of bus surfing in Leeds - is this just a flaw with the First Leeds order or all builds & if its a flaw across the whole build is this just a problem (the surfing) local to Leeds or more widespread?
with class 321/2 now starting to be withdrawn (warm store for now) how easy/difficult would it be to take the trailer car out of the formation(like they did for the sets transferred to scotrail) and insert then into class 150's to increase capacity?

Due to renovations the only entrance to the station is a small gate at the end of platform one. On more than one occasion there has been 10, yes 10, STM staff and one or more BTP officers.
Why? Do other stations suffer from this type of...
New Hitachi ICEP units for east coast/great western.
Under British Rail new designs of rolling stock were kept to a maximum length of 23 metres. The new inter city stock on order is 26 metres. So my question is will stations such as York, Newcastle, Bristol T.M and Junctions such as Leeds...
