Leeds city council have opened a consultation on the future of the Leeds guided busway on York/Selby roads (by consultation they mean box ticking exercise decision already made) it is to be replaced in both directions with 'Red road' bus lanes.

I can see the logic. Arriva haven't used it for years, Transdev never used it and First have been struggling recently to find newer members of the fleet that can be fitted with guide wheels.
Plus whenever I've travelled that way the non-guided buses seemed to be much quicker.
