Even with the additional exit-reenter-exit at the same gateline first? If it's not an OSI same-gateline, then would that not split up the journey before the OSI into the next GTR gateline (or maybe that is considered an abandoned journey with the charge removed after re-entering within N minutes)?

Would it be possible to exit and reenter at the TfL staffed gates, and then exit again and go through the GTR gates? It would certainly look particularly strange, but I don't know if Oyster will split up the journey in this case.

Everyone uses the same reservations system, and there shouldn't be any differences between retailer pricing as a result (other than things like split ticketing of course).

Within the public booking windows linked above (usually about 12 weeks), prices are unlikely to go down after you book. Outside of the 12 week window, some TOCs offer an extending booking horizon. In some cases, you might see advance journeys further than 12 weeks out decrease in price when...

I thought Trainpal also had their price drop promise, where they'll refund the difference if your tickets drop in price between when you order and when you travel. They claim they do this automatically. Do they not, in fact, actually do this? Shock horror.

Or buying a ticket a ticket from another station if you are returning to a station other than the one you're leaving from. That's something I do very often, living nearly equidistant to two stations where fares are identical.

Indeed, because a WearOS watch face without accurate timing info is pretty useless. Android widgets, on the other hand, are entirely different. In any case, I've made a watch face with this clock design which is just pending review from Google before actually being downloadable onto WearOS...
