In France and in the US there are lockers at railway stations, but in the UK, I don't think there are any.
The reason why I ask, is that I will be spending 6 hours in London before I go to Gatwick and don't want to lug my suitcase around.
Are there any lockers? What if I ask the guys in the...
I need to go to Blackfriars on New years eve at 10pm ish.
I hold the outward portion of a Huntingdon to London Terminals ticket.
Can I walk to St Pancras and take the thameslink to Black friars and not pay a penny more, or will I have to use my oyster PAYG?
Thanks
Also on another note the...
I noticed on google maps there is a spur just before Highbury an Islington that runs under corsica street that links the "east london Line" part of the london overground to the great northern.
With further platforms being added to Finsbury park will any TOC run services using this connection...
Then surely this boils down to inadequate training.
The are ambassadors for FCC and as such I would expect them to know things about delay repay as it relates to ticketing.
Its not a difficult question.
no I was not advised. According to the national rail website my intended train was still ready, but having got to Kings cross, the train was not there and was advised to go to finsbury Park.
The train ran really slowly to Stevenage where I was planning to catch the East Coast train, however the...
On Sunday there was a poor service both on FCC and East Coast.
Several trains were cancelled due to last minute engineering works.
My question is is delay repay abandoned under these conditions. My journey took 70 minutes longer than normal and I feel that I should be compensated for such.
Oh...
A few months back, Sky announced that they would be filming for an East Coast Trains documentary which will be screened in autumn.
Does anyone have any info on this. Google / Sky's website does not show much.
Thanks
FCC to maintain a heavy RPI team and they tend to check tickets when they stand at the entrance of Peterborough regardless of TOC
Do East Coast use the FCC revenue team, as there has been a couple of times when 2 east coast trains have pulled in North and Southbound, and the guy leading the...
That is very interesting because from some of the letters I have received they have Indian names, now it could be that they employ British people of Indian origin, however what may be the case is that some of the work is outsourced to India.
I was watching the channel 5 documentary on FGW and noticed that the customer service centre is in Plymouth. I also know that East Coast customer service is in Plymouth and they have a very similar address.
Does anyone know if First Great Western carry this service out of East Coast.
I have...
Does anyone know if the plastic cladding they have tact onto the entrance is going to be a permanent feature at Kings cross, the station would look beautiful without it.
Also what is the cylinder shaped object outside the exit on the Kings Cross square?
I came across the following Parliamentary document
http://www.publications.parliament.uk/pa/cm200708/cmselect/cmtran/84/8406.htm
It says that Revenue protection staff may use reasonable force to remove someone that refuses to give their name / address.
From reading the comments on the...
I have noticed that the trains north or southbound seem to dawdle between Fincheley Road and Baker Street, even in the off peak where there is a 8 minute gap from the preceding train.
Why is this? I find it is quicker to take the Jubilee Line.
Travelling back from Doncastor on an East Coast Service and urgent announcement was made if a doctor or other medically qualified person was present to deal with a medical emergency.
Luckily there was and paramedics were waiting at Peterborough.
I have had CPR training with use of an AED...
