Travelling back from Doncastor on an East Coast Service and urgent announcement was made if a doctor or other medically qualified person was present to deal with a medical emergency.
Luckily there was and paramedics were waiting at Peterborough.
I have had CPR training with use of an AED (automatic external defibrillator )
Are train guards given CPR training?
AEDs are present in a lot of public locations including stations. Are they present on some trains?
If someone is having a cardiac arrest basic CPR will give them 10% chance of survival. With an AED that's brought to 85%.
