    Thameslink Services/Timetable from May 20th 2018

What on earth is going on this morning? Trains that ran last week now simply don't exist? This is bordering on criminal.

    Thameslink Services/Timetable from May 20th 2018

Ok so if that is the case why are GN cancelling most services yesterday and again today? Something is wrong about this, there is no engineering work and supposedly drivers are obliged to work BH's and weekends. But this isn't happening, why?

    Thameslink Services/Timetable from May 20th 2018

Same point as yesterday these cancellations are nothing to do with the new timetable. Something else is causing them, either GN have over estimated drivers willing to do OT or don't have enough contracted to work bank holidays. This situation is worse than last week when it was expected there...

    Thameslink Services/Timetable from May 20th 2018

Quite, once Brexit starts to have its effect the number of commuters will drop significantly meaning far less demand, this is a carefully orchestrated games by Grayling and chums.

    Thameslink Services/Timetable from May 20th 2018

Today's countless cancellations on GN are NOT the fault of the Canal Tunnels and driver training. There has to be underlying staff issue at GN that is either staff unwilling to work OT and GN planning services expecting OT to be worked. Or those who have said they would work deciding not to...

Peterborough to Horsham has been added to the list.

    Thameslink Services/Timetable from May 20th 2018

For someone who has been critical of GN being the poor relation of TL I find it a worry that you don't see this as a threat. The St Albans and Harpenden lobby is larger than our own and if TL customers aren't happy then GN will be the first to lose what will become good for all. Be careful for...

    Thameslink Services/Timetable from May 20th 2018

An MP who is weak and trying to recover his voting base (Welhat is a key target seat for Labour) but he is after all a Tory and responsible for allowing GTR and Horton to be in the position they are in the first place. I assume dropping the HAT and Potters Bar stop on the 7.55 and running the...

    Thameslink Services/Timetable from May 20th 2018

Those (e.g. Arlesey) passengers are quite able to change at Finsbury Park to KGX services services in the same way as WGC/HAT passengers wanting core services are doing.

    Thameslink Services/Timetable from May 20th 2018

For those questioning the validity of the through core services. On the three days I have used Tues, Wed and Thursday both directions in the peaks were full and standing. So it would seem plenty are keen to avoid the KGX change. These are 12 car services too. Today has been a disaster obviously...

    Thameslink Services/Timetable from May 20th 2018

Why are so many throwing in the towel after five days. So many are looking for any reason for this to fail just to justify their scepticism. I hope those with wise heads allow a month for this to settle and then review again. Do we really want a revert to what we had before when the...

    Thameslink Services/Timetable from May 20th 2018

When has WGC ever had 32 coaches running in and out London with aircon, great acceleration and space for those who are standing in both peaks? Granted the 700 has less seats but with an effective 15 minute interval between services you waste less time waiting for an over crowded hot and...

    Thameslink Services/Timetable from May 20th 2018

It really does work well with no more than five minutes wait for last three mornings. What is surprising though is how many are doing the same thing, the Northern Line must be be quieter as a result for those heading south via London Bridge.

    Thameslink Services/Timetable from May 20th 2018

I do find it interesting that two of the biggest critics are from WGC and that the loss of the fast from WGC to Finsbury Park does appear to be so 'important'. WGC today has FOUR decent well timed services into and out of KGX that provide much greater flexibility than ever before. Try changing...

    Thameslink Services/Timetable from May 20th 2018

I suggested this on Tuesday and was criticised for doing so. So what exactly has or hasn't been agreed? Are GN stating fact of making invalid excuses?

    Thameslink Services/Timetable from May 20th 2018

Why have GN cancelled the 17.21 to Cambridge and the 17.51 Cambridge? How are people supposed to get home?

    Thameslink Services/Timetable from May 20th 2018

Is there any reason given for this? This can't be caused by drivers not signing the Canal Tunnel. This shocking situation has to be caused by driving not being available for unplanned reasons? Unofficial strike action?

    Thameslink Services/Timetable from May 20th 2018

07.32 WGC to KGX caught up late running 313 Moorgate service ahead of it by Potters Bar! Until the 313's are gone I can't see how this is going to work as the 700 are just too quick. Means the 700 services on SL will have a poor timing status when in fact they will leave on time and be more...

Great Northern and Thameslink May 18 service changes

No that will need to change as it's unfair on those in St Albans and Harpenden who surely need another fast train option? Meanwhile on the GN....

Great Northern and Thameslink May 18 service changes

If 12 coach 700's are too big at present for these key platforms why on earth stick with a default of 8 cars? A 10 car train would likely suffice and solve the problem at least in the short term. I would have thought the 700 design would allow for this flexibility?
