Yes, Rotala are in the news this week as one of their Kidderminster depot Solos lost a wheel yesterday in Kinver according to the Stourbridge News.

Pretty ironic really as diamond...
Hi all,
I'm feeling a bit bored as I've got no plans this weekend so I am looking at our routing guide supremos to give me a fun journey which includes a whole load of mileage for less than £15 (without a railcard and able to buy on the day), starting/finishing somewhere near the TfWM boundary...
Need a bit of advice really.
Planning a trip on Tuesday doing the following journeys
0930ish Stourbridge Town to Worcester changin at Stourbridge Junction
1400ish Worcester to Cradley Heath
1510ish 24 bus Cradley to Merry Hill (diamond)
1520 bus home (diamond)
1715 bus from home to...
(From the Gatwick Airport Rail Replacement thread)
Surely though, service buses with standees are permitted on Motorways, otherwise some bus operators who run services along sections of motorways are doing something wrong.
I mean, from a Midlands viewpoint, I've been on a Solo that had every...
Had a look on the Oui.SNCF site to find out my TGV 5222 service from Lille has been cancelled on Friday as was going to Disney for the weekend due to the strike.
Would have booked direct Eurostar to Disney but my brother wanted to spend a couple of hours in Lille, plus there was no direct...
Hi all.
Quick question.
What's the acceptable "wait" between coming off a non reserved "connection" local train and a "booked train" on an advance.
Would anyone object at the station if I was to arrive at the connecting station a hour and a bit early (say for example New Street) and partook...
Following on from Thameslink services going ATO in the core earlier this year, it set me thinking...
Is there any other lines where it could work to increase capacity?
Personally I think it could work on the Snow Hill Lines in the Moor Street - Hawthorns core, especially underneath Birmingham...
After watching Hunted on Channel 4, it has made me think about what it must be like, going off the Grid.
Has anyone on here tried it?
If so, what was your experience of it, how did you feel, how did your friends or relatives cope with you being off the grid?
Following on from the thread which debates if Watford should be a London borough, I ask you this:
Which areas do you think are a natural fit to be in other counties?
Three I think of personally is that Coventry, whilst detached from the rest of the West Midlands by the Meriden Gap, is more of...
I was reading earlier in the Telegraph that Just Eat are to bring a "Service Charge" of 50p to those who order takeaways and pay cash on their website
Apparently it is to bring it in line with the orders paid for by card according to sources, however it is to be brought in on the 13th January...
Hi all
I've been asked by a colleague if she brought a Centro day ticket to use it on the train/bus, what time would it expire on both bus and rail in the Centro area?
I thought it was 0429 (in line with rail ticketing) for rail/end of service for bus but apparently she was told that it...
Right, here's a good one for you. Brought a Preston to Manchester ticket a few weeks ago not knowing that a strike was going to happen, TPE only
Got to Preston, went to board the service but couldn't as overcrowded.
Virgin platform staff say board the Northern service. Was a bit dubious so...
I don't know if it was mentioned on here but it was announced on both the London Stock Exchange, Diamond Bus and the Hanson's (Stourbridge) website that with effect from July 28, 2017, Rotala have purchased Hanson's (Wordsley) Limited, one of their chief rivals in the Dudley/Stourbridge area...
Hypothetically speaking. If one was to purchase a Off Peak Day Return, but due to circumstances such as a concert running late, would one be allowed to break ones journey overnight if one missed the last connection
For example travelling from Birmingham International to Cradley Heath. If the...
Hi
My brother and I are planning a trip to Cardiff and we need some help with finding the cheapest tickets (and by cheapest I mean splitting/taking the National Routing Guide to the letter).
He has a YP but I do not have any railcards
Departing 21/7/17, returning 24/7/17.
Would...
There's been signalling issues on the Snow Hill lines this morning. I am on 2D16 (http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/P70831/2015/06/13/advanced) which arrived late at Cradley Heath by about 16-20 minutes.
There has been cancellations too affecting services on this line.
At Old Hill (got...
Just heard on the wireless that there has been an incident with the ride known as The Smiler.
Apparently two carriages have collided into each other causing 4 people to have "serious injuries" according to what I heard
Just been to Birmingham Snow Hill and the Departure Boards are saying that there is a fault with them. Stourbridge Junction says the same. Is there a problem elsewhere with them or is it just the Snow Hill Lines?
We are aware of an issue with emails from the Forum to Microsoft-based email accounts (hotmail/outlook/live.com email addresses). This is being looked into currently, thanks for your patience meanwhile.
