Yesterday around 10.50am a VT Pendolino arrived on platform 5 at LONDON EUSTON. It was unusual because of a tweak of the livery around the windows. I didn't get the headcode, but it has the inspiration of a London Midland livery tweak.
Does anyone know the headcode, or has seen it before?
I've come across this PDF which seems rather official documenting the routes and tph from the various destinations linking north and south via St Pancs and Kings Cross.
I've posted it because I've not seen it on here officially before, not in this way...
Hi guys,
I'm currently in GZ, China, for a while, and I'm already a frequent user of the Guangzhou Metro.
Has anyone - by chance - used it, or heard anything about it.
I have to say, it is one of the star creations alongside the Canton Tower.
Where do I start:
Wider guage - meaning...
Anyone familiar to the station, just outside Manchester Piccadilly will know how much of a pain, like other stations along that route, are.
In the morning, around 9.30am - I was heading southbound - running late, legging it for the train, got to the platform with about 40 seconds to spare...
This is going to be some crap crowdsourcing.
But I was reading Philip Hammond's announcement on Northern and TPE franchises extensions and he made reference to the consultation of a greater northern PTE.
Now, I've read that on here before - but I thought it was just us having a fantasy...
Does anyone have a reputable link to a free download of Sim Meier's Railway Tycoon - any of his railway games.
I downloaded one a few years back but I never saved the link - HOWEVER, I did download it and it was excellent.
Now I am trying to look for it again and can't find it. Any help guys?
I haven't been through Kings Cross in about 3 years now.
But I've been travelling through there and Hertfordshire, plus using the Overground that runs across King's Cross throat. You get a great view of the the three tunnels. Two used and one disused.
Should the third tunnel be reopened to...
I'm wondering if there is a case to open the third tunnel at Kings Cross. It seems like it is in good condition.
Is there a case for it. What would it cost amongst many pondering questions.
This thread is about in-carriage advertising on trains.
The only operator, or route rather, that does this is Southeastern High Speed. Why is this the only set to do so (maybe it is a new model of train, planned in mind) but my questions are:
How much does that raise (I suspect it is small...
Can any of you explain how the UK bus network is run in simple terms?
I totally understand rail franchises, but I've never grasped the bus network.
I've heard various things including councils subsidise price per passenger - dishing out contracts at a loss. I'm confused!
Help!
With the well document problems of the Class 380, I pondered the inevitable.
Why with such a reliable, and fairly new stock class, the Class 350, was it not ordered for Scotland?
Surely it would cost less than buying/leasing brand spanking new rolling stock model. Well, not that I am...
Are some of the proposals realistic?
As a Kent rail user, thus, Southeastern traveller I've always had a good service on mainline and high speed services - (not used metro for a long time).
I would more often or not argue delays on the SER network arise from pathing issues, Network Rail...

I saw this on Twitter:
Virgin Trains to start trialling new 'Smart' card at various West Coast Mainline stations in the North West.
Interesting.
Anyone got more info
Following on from this BBC article: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-12480813 - many moons back, it stated that part of the new station was being constructed on the former redundant piers
But, firstly, I wasn't aware of that, plus the fact the station capacity will be reduced to four, a...
Are Super Off-Peak valid for the specific train you book, or does it work similar to Off-Peak tickets where you get on ANY off-peak train, basically after 10am.
