Heyo!, sorry for my thread spam!, but i had another idea.
Is it feasable at all to Potentially create a Bi Mode 385?, I'm thinking of it as a sort of Baby 800.
Could a downscaled version of the MTU Engine in the class 802 Be used? or a new Hydrogen Unit be developed
Class '384'?
I could see...
also sorry if this is necroing as the old thread is no longer able to be replied to + i made a mess up :').
https://www.falkirkherald.co.uk/news/people/new-report-states-railway-station-grangemouth-key-priority-1385418 .
So If grangemouth station goes ahead, with the assumption they will use...
Heyo!, sorry if its a reborn of a old thread, but im interested to see since its been a while what the current feeling is towards a possible central scotland route would be of this?
-
So i wonder if theres any feasability towards a route that would be kind of like this
Edinburgh Waverley -...
heyo Sorry about my another really bad idea! but one i thought of
Considering issues with Electrifying the forth rail bridge. And the class 158 and 170 having done their time on scotrail, Would it maybe be a bad idea to replace scotrails 158 and 170's with new FLIRTS (755's) allowing ethier for...
Heyo!, So with more talk around Grangemouth opening up as a train station, And the Talgo factory being talked about, is there potentially a case for Opening up the Kincardine line and linking grangemouth and dunfermilne with a rail service between the two, maybe a so called forth valley stopper...
Heyo!, i'm wondering. if any of the MK2 MK3 sleeper stock that is being sold could maybe be used as a once on occasion sleeper service?, just thinking of maybe an inverness to london christmas eve sleeper maybe using 37's and 47's, Might even be handy for people wanting to travel at night to...
they do look fun, But i do wonder if theres any lines or places that could use like, Single carriage trains maybe with more performance than 153's, or take any existing DMU and turn some into single carriage trains.
(i am very ignorant so forgive me :') )
Maybe the "Jigsaw" train could be...
Hey sorry if it's also dumb to ask or that, But i kinda felt like it'd be a missed oppurtinity for scotrail 68's to just be used on the fife circle line? (eventually them getting replaced by 170's or that)
I wondered, would it be a good idea for scotrail maybe to accompany their HST stock, with...
Heyo! :D so a while ago i was talking to someone who worked at falkirk council who was telling me about plans on creating a bonnybridge train station linked to the glasgow - falkirk grahamston line, But i haven't heard much abotu it since, is it okay to make a thread on this? for updates and such.
Heya just a noob question
so you can see some diesel cars with lets say about 800 lbft of torque for like a high end pick up. maybe for towing a caravan.
I see trains have like tractive effort and that but lets say i put a train on a perfectly straight bit of road , how much pounds feet of...
i've heard a lot about the class 67's and 73/9's being problematic , and it just makes me wonder if sometime it'd maybe be worth hiring in class 68's to do sleeper duties
maybe when the 68's on the fife circle line get replaced, this could be potential work for them.
I know the 67's are...
heya, i love the 158's on scotrails network!, but with new trains coming in for E-Dunblane and GLQ - Falkirk grahamston whats the future for these units?
I find them much nicer than 170's as they feel more spacious, and the drivers on them dont tend to have a nasty tendency to turn on the...
Sorry if there has been a thread already for it, but i've seen it mentioned a few times and maybe it should have its own thread
i've seen people saying they should convert class 67's (into like class 69's or class 77's or such) like how the 57's were made from old 47's , and it does sound kinda...
wikipedia isn't saying a lot, and it'd be amazing to at least see this on a charter run, any news at all about the possibility of the class 89 being allowed a run out to track or will it just remain static until it fades away or is scrapped?
Hey so i've heard a few whispers about the possibility of reopening a train station in grangemouth, and i wondered if you guys had any more info about it possibly, always suprised me that grangemouth didn't have a train station considering its size + it having the refineries
also if a station...
Sorry if this thread is dumb, but i'm wondering, as scotrail is acquiring the HST's which could break down at some point and they are bringing in new emu's , would it maybe make sense for scotrail to get themselves a rescue locomotive in the shape of something like a class 67 or a 57/extra 68...
I've tried looking on wikipedia and that but i can't seem to spot any information about it, i may assume it's similar to a class 47's but just double checking
