Passenger train consists as Open Data

You should have seen the equivalent of this, however you are storing the data: from location from date time to location to date time resource group numbers diagram number diagram date deleted at created at BRSTPWY 11/11/25 11:55 PADTON...

    LNER 225 Shortening/Overnight Testing

I mean the train left 3 mins behind an Azuma bound for Aberdeen, and reached Holme Junction 3 mins after the Azuma did. It certainly doesn't seem to be much slower than an Azuma, at least.

TfW have withdrawn Sail-Rail tickets via Holyhead

I think OP simply means you might cross a pricing boundary of SailRail fares where splitting and buying a part of the journey with a Railcard discount would work out cheaper overall.

Passenger train consists as Open Data

I wouldn't have ultimate faith in the "diagram number" in the data, as I'm sure diagrams fall apart quite quickly in disruption (with this being a good example!). The main point of the data is what train(s) operate a service over anything else like diagrams.

    Advice on refund please

Spot on, and the NRCoT and industry rules helpfully leave the OP's situation as effectively "tough luck", much to the frustration of everyone involved. 50% of the ticket price for the disrupted return journey would be due here, in my view, as that portion was unused and new tickets were bought...

    Interrail Passes

I believe the discount this Black Friday will be 25%.

    BLS 2025 tours

I recall the Merseyrail tour selling out quickly too, but I don't think the 323 or 313 tours did. That might well be because those tours were more expensive, being £64.60 and £62.60 respectively (32.3*2, 31.3*2). Maybe if this was £91 it would have lasted a bit longer. :p

Ticket office staff insisting on behaving like a website/app

Given the posts earlier about people being "dumped" into that job for all sorts of reasons, maybe they're exactly the sort of person who would end up with that kind of mentality where others wouldn't? I'm not sure whether or not those moved to these roles after they are unable to continue in...

    BLS 2025 tours

I will admit that one was definitely the poorest BLS farewell tour experience I've had. The 313 and 323 ones, on the other hand, were much more sensible and tame. Hopefully this will be too.

    Digital Fraud team - England

Did you pay the penalty fare? If not, this is a bigger concern. You may have provided "random" (false) details, but it's now clear that they know who you are from your Trainline ticket purchases. Providing false details is, itself, a criminal offense under Section 5(3) of the Regulation of...

    Digital Fraud team - England

Yet another poorly written email from West Midlands Trains. Typically, the advice we give is generally to ignore these emails completely since they're attempting to embark on a fishing expedition in the hope you'll admit wrongdoing and they'll extract money out of you. If you upload a photo of...

Ticket office staff insisting on behaving like a website/app

I would suggest that nowadays the salary for those working in ticket offices is low enough that most won't be incentivised to do the best that they could.

Cases where multiple seasons tickets are cheaper than one season ticket ('split tickets' but with season tickets)?

Didcot - Slough: £180 Slough - Paddington: £155.20 Didcot - Paddington: £514 A saving of £178.80, is what I make it with flexi seasons.

    Thameslink - Weekend First

I'd guess this was copied from one of the other GTR brands and someone didn't think before they pushed it onto the Thameslink site too.

Maybe you should become an industry consultant to spread that view! :p

TfW have withdrawn Sail-Rail tickets via Holyhead

It could possibly just be an artifact of how the Class 805 services split at Chester. This has caused numerous problems for reservations before.

TfW have withdrawn Sail-Rail tickets via Holyhead

It'll come down to advance ticket availability, with Avanti presumably not having any of the lower SailRail Advance tier with availability between Chester and Holyhead. The SailRail Standby tickets (the £60.10), however, should only be limited by ferry capacity.

Was TfL's system the right choice for contactless payments in the South East?

I think it would have only ever made sense to integrate with TfL's PAYG given the whole area is London-centric. The bigger question is whether it would have made sense to require changes to the system to allow for greater differential time-based pricing first. Given that all of this has...

Indeed, for reasons explained in post #21.
