    Ticket Code 4W/7W

They can't be solved if the problems are only known by frontline staff and never get reported to anyone else!

    Ticket Code 4W/7W

They're not through anyone other than Trainline. Trainline has the money and time to write custom blurb about different ticket types, such as these. Anywhere else you buy tickets from that isn't operated by Trainline will simply show "Weekend Return (Saturday Departure)". The tickets should...

    Ticket Code 4W/7W

To prevent the rail industry looking wholly incompetent, perhaps staff should raise this with their operator's retail or pricing team so that the knowledgebase data can be amended to reflect the restrictions, rather than attempting to enforce restrictions which are never made clear to a...

Why are Trainline and National Rail showing different trains..?

The 11:50 was cancelled from the timetable on the 20th November. https://timetables.trainsplit.com/times.aspx?uid=W53574&date=20251123 Seemingly Trainline doesn't think this happened. 1763898249 Oh dear, I didn't even notice that.

Forthcoming changes to National Rail Conditions of Travel

Whoops... I had totally missed your post! I must have been too caught up in the shambles of rail industry! 1763895310 You'd have thought a sensible content management system would treat them as such at least.

Forthcoming changes to National Rail Conditions of Travel

Your Rights and Obligations as a Passenger has been edited to link to the new NRCOT page... https://www.nationalrail.co.uk/NRCOT/ Not to be confused with... https://www.nationalrail.co.uk/nrcot/ ...which is the even-older 2022 terms on the unmodified page which (probably) every retailer links...

Oval phase 2 - the 4.5 hour peak

The data doesn't allow for a time restriction against the ticket or journey origin. You'd need a dedicated restriction code for each potential origin within the PAYG area... I'm not saying there aren't enough codes left for that, but it'd be one hell of a task! Plus you'd introduce loopholes...

    New TPE first class menu

I had this a few weeks ago, and quite enjoyed it. If I wasn't travelling on Avanti later in the day, I would have tried the pie though. I mean the quality of the burger is a bit "meh". It's kind of like a microwave burger but I'd much rather have this than nothing at all! Service was all...

    Interrail Passes

As I understand, no such restrictions with this sale. We'll of course find out for certain when the sale launches.

UPDATED: Used a fake ticket and got caught

None of the GTR services on this route would have guards, or any additional member of staff on board, so this would not have been possible. Whether it's worth editing this to reflect that fact, or whether it's worth leaving as-is, I'm not sure. I think it could do with adding paragraph breaks...

    PlusBus Tickets

It'll likely be the lead operator for the area, who tells Traveline they want to change the price, then Traveline tell RDG who update it in the data.

    PlusBus Tickets

Yes, the price can change whenever they want. Just like Advances (and a lot of other tickets too, which are unregulated).

Project Oval: TfL win DfT contract to expand contactless system to 233 rail stations by May 2024, Railcards coming to contactless payment cards

Because the locations closer to London than Luton already had contactless fares, therefore have not been touched as part of the expansion.

I had totally even missed the mention of c2c. My bad.

Year 10/12 Work Experience on the Railway - General Discussion

It can't hurt! I've been trying to search around, and most places seem to talk about work experience on their website, but then fail to actually provide any way to register your interest or enquire. Some seem to advertise on a platform called Routes into Rail, but I can't see any work...

Year 10/12 Work Experience on the Railway - General Discussion

They already did this and contacted them, and they said no. Continuing to ask just shows the poster's inability to understand what has already been said, and would likely be seen as pestering. @MatthewE707 I often see timetable planner placements at GTR, but these are typically for university...
