Southeastern staff claimed Anytime ticket tied to specific train

It’s not relevant here, but I would absolutely expect staff to know when a railcard time restriction makes an Anytime ticket invalid.

    invalid railcard

Well you know how many times you have done it since you stopped using the Oyster card. Take the Anytime Single fare, multiply it by the number of individual journeys (so twice for a return) and then add £150 for administration costs. You won’t be far off the answer then if they choose to look at...

Start saving, and ensure you buy the correct ticket. And make sure you keep checking your post for the letter.

Southeastern staff claimed Anytime ticket tied to specific train

If it's got a Railcard attached to it which puts time restrictions on it. eg not to be used before 10am on weekdays. Ah sorry, didn't see the above response before sending.

    invalid railcard

It's pretty much standard in terms of what we see here.

    invalid railcard

When they write to you, you write back with a very polite and apologetic tone, say you've learnt your lesson, and you promise not to do it again. And then ask very nicely if they would consider an out of court settlement instead of prosecution. Preferably in your own words, as AI letters we see...

    'Upgraded' GWR IET seats

I would have thought a 10 year refurb would maybe replace the seat covering, but not the cushions themselves. As @Kilopylae has noted, Voyager seats have worn well in terms of the cushioning. Didn't the Pendolino seats go 20 years before they were (fully) replaced?

    'Upgraded' GWR IET seats

I reckon there are about 42,000 seats in the GWR fleet, so can’t help wondering what a pile of discarded seats cushions that size would look like sitting outside the IET depot in Bristol waiting to be recycled. It would make a great advert for DfT’s “buy cheap, buy twice” policy. (See also...

    Class 175s to GWR

A longer way of saying "Don't blame the management, we were told to do so."

Portishead Approved - Construction Updates Thread - No speculation

And indeed that frequently happens. I guess one potential cause of congestion will be Portishead bound trains waiting at Parson St because of a train heading towards Temple Meads on the Up Main (and potentially the Portishead train then holding something up behind it). That would be alleviated...

It's not part of the project unfortunately.

    Travel Irregularity Report

Yes, pay the amount requested (technically not a fine, but it feels like one), and the matter is resolved once and for all, without a prosecution.

I could use your advice, technically valid ticket but ran off

Please tell us exactly what journey you were taking, exactly what tickets you had (from where to where, and what type) what railcard, and whether your ticket had any time restrictions. Then experts here will have the required information to help you.

    Greater Anglia fraud email investigation

Our experience is that when offering out of court settlement amounts, it’s very usual that the company threatening to prosecute includes suspicious journeys on other company’s services in determining the settlement amounts. (Where they bother to do a data trawl that is, which is not all the time.)

Thameslink to replace cushions on class 700 ironing board seats to improve comfort.. Finally..

Or more realistically, dwell times increase as people take longer to get off and on, which has an impact on reliability and capacity through the core.

So what is the work that is no longer planned? Are you able to say?

TfW class 398 Stadler Citylink tram trains

It would appear to be 6 diagrams.

TfW class 398 Stadler Citylink tram trains

A quick check seems to show the class covering all the Pontypridd to Bay diagrams again today. So maybe 3 units out is now the norm. The fourth diagram to be covered will be very interesting!

TfW class 398 Stadler Citylink tram trains

It's hardly unusual though. Think of the PR surrounding the heavily delayed Class 810s or the Class 701s.
