Thanks for posting. One of the train interiors looks a bit strange. You can find a sequence at 36:50. The seats are old and the colour scheme seems to be navy blue rather than standard mallard beige/blue. Clearly this must be some kind of substitution, but does anybody have an explanation?! :)

My experience (albeit on East Coast) suggests that the inspectors hardly ever check the ID number. However it would be risky to rely on this! I suggest calling the TOC as soon as possible to see if there are any options to resolve the issue.

Eliminating 1ST could push up STD fares for some passengers. Those people currently paying 1ST Advance fares ahead of travel would, in the absence of 1ST and if they still travelled by train, purchase STD Advances instead. The extra demand would sometimes cause STD Advance fares to close out...

If I travel from Pimlico (zone 1) to Elephant & Castle (zone 1) during the afternoon peak, can I take the Victoria Line to Stockwell (zone 2), change onto the Northern Line and still be charged the zone 1 fare when I exit at Elephant & Castle? Many thanks in advance. :)

Maybe you are on the same train as me after Christmas. I literally booked an hour or two after the trains were released and K31 was already taken! :D

I can't speak for trains, but I can tell you that flight crew seats in aeroplanes are extremely comfortable. The manufacturers spend a lot of time and money designing them. Surely the train manufacturers would also make the necessary investment to ensure that driver seats are comfy? :)

For East Coast this time period is definitely at the end of the normal range based on my experience. However they might have had a high volume of cases to handle following the great(ish) storm. I would give it another week and follow up if you have not heard by then.
