    I am sure this must have been covered before, but are suicides on the railways becoming more common or is it just the 24/7 media coverage and modern technology reporting making it seem that way. If it is the case that they are more common then why ? Railways have been around for many years so...

    17:03 Newcastle to Leeds (17/10)

    Does anyone know what happened to this unit between Newcastle and Durham? It was 52 L into Durham but then kept time to York. I was on a Voyager that passed it stationary just north of Durham.

    Being asked to show PRIV card when travelling.

    When I travel on a priv ticket I regularly get asked to show my priv. I have no objection to doing so but this seems to be a recent thing. In the past I was never asked for my priv and am curious to know why it has recently started, Has there been an increase in fraudulent use of staff privs ?

    CLASS 70

    I noticed there was a Class 70 with a set of cement tanks at York (Holgate sidings) on Tuesday 3 October. It was double headed with a Class 60 leading. Class 70s are quite rare up here. Can anyone tell me what it works and its regularity. Also is it always double headed ?

    First Class Upgrades.

    I am travelling from York to Edinburgh on Bank Holiday Monday with VTEC. Are weekend firsts upgrades available and how much will it cost ? The reason I ask is because it is not a Bank Holiday in Scotland.
