Would London Zone 1 as a destination is ok for that? Ie. For use on Thameslink.

The Virgin East Coast website allows this, so a walk between Kings Cross and St. Pancras International.

Via Bedford works fine too.

My quick perusal of BRFares.com leads me to believe that a Zone U1* fare will actually be issued. However, looking at the interavailable routes it appears that this section is interavailable so it will be fine.

Just because a route is 'interavailable' it does not necessarily mean a journey can be extended beyond the destination of the ticket.

Farringdon is not a 'London Terminal' and so, in most cases, a ticket to there must be have validity beyond 'London Terminals'. A ticket to 'London Thameslink', for example, would be valid to Farringdon.

I understood what maniacmartin was saying to be that a ticket issued to ZONE U1* LONDN would be valid on National Rail from St Pancras to Farringdon because of the interavailability with National Rail-issued U-zone tickets on that route. But I think he may have used the wrong quote.
