I'd heard this rumour about a month ago. It will utilise the set that does the 10:XX Bradford to Kings Cross. It will be crewed by GC driver and guard but operated as a Northern service to avoid the ban GC have in Leeds station
I'm travelling Leeds to Kings Cross on Sunday (29th May) but due to engineering work direct trains are only every 2 hours straight very busy and can't get a reservation. Is there any seats that are permanently unreserved?
Sorry to revive an old thread just wondered if the 387s come out to play on a Sunday particularly next Sunday 29th May and if they stick to a diagram or its random allocation
The company name is Arriva Rail North but trades as Northern. The trains won't be in Arriva colours and will be blue and silver just google something like Northern new trains and look at the images
My journey is as follows and want to know the cheapest I can do it on Priv

Westbury to Yeovil Jcn via Pen Mill
Yeovil Jcn to Finsbury Park (to include the underground to Kings X)
I believe they've done some interviews today but don't know which application wave they were for and if they were external or just internal applications

Are any of the Cardiff to Shrewsbury trains on a weekday afternoon booked for a 158?
