Thought it would help fellow forummers out by describing this, a new offer launched 2 weeks ago if you have O2 Priority Moments (download the app if you don't have it already). You get a full sized baguette/panini/toastie etc, from a selection, hot or cold, a bag of Walkers crisps and 500ml...
Has anyone ever noticed anyone use one of these great-deal cards? I've had one for probably going on 10 years, since they launched as the lovely card with a "bite" taken out of it! It really bugs me that people won't be getting the discount they're entitled too! Who amongst us more-educated...
Can't get a clear answer online! I know from Birmingham+south of there it's £10, but all other places £15? Or does Wolverhampton come under "west midlands" so still £10?
Also on a Crewe to London ticket, if I get the train that goes via Birmingham+Wolverhampton, can I move into 1st at either...
Just passed through Crewe + thrilled to see poster advertising this ticket which started on 4th May + available until 25th at a great price (21.10 with railcard) great to split ticket coming from Manchester + other destinations. Interesting they seem to be doing a different place every month to...
Brfares claims this is the cheapest advance single between these stations. However I have tried many times to find it on east coast planner to no avail even booking ~12 weeks in advance. Any ideas?
Just rode this service tonight and was sort of pleasantly but sort of annoyed to find I arrived at Manc at 1:10 and not 1:56 as journey planner sites showed! I thought it a little odd it would take so much longer but assumed it must be "go slow" after midnight. Anyway, it was nice to be back...
Just checking on Virgin's site opening hours, and selected Stoke from the drop-down, and it says "this station does not have a 1st class lounge" despite it still being in the list. What a shame! It was a lovely quiet, serene lounge like many of them, not surprised they have closed it really it...
Can I travel via Manchester on this ticket? Actually live north of Manc so going via Birkenhead and Chester as suggested is a very long, slow way round. Could I travel into Liverpool then on any train to Manc? Doesn't seem to be stating this on searches I'm doing but webtis is down at the...
Just thought I'd remind folk of this great offer as it doesn't seem to be being discussed much, and feel it deserves a thread! You but a monthly season ticket at any station from Wrexham General to Wrexham Central for £16.60. This then allows you to buy an Arriva Wales 10th Anniversary ticket...
I regularly travel from Stafford to Birmingham New St or vice versa on £2.70/£3.05 Advance 1st - great value, I'm sure you'll agree and can always get them with lots of availability. However I do find a lot of the staff grumpy + hard work, they tend to hide.
Recently, I asked what the hot...
I am thinking of booking a 1st ADV on the 09:35 MAN-SOT, assuming this will include the full English as Virgin site states all train departing before 0959. However, will I get it in time to eat it by Stoke? (~35-38mins?). If not, if I book the 1035 which is cheaper would I get breakfast roll...
Just checked on East Coast's site after locating the hard-to-find PDF of mealtimes, am I right that the 7:37 and 8:55 both have full cooked breakfast between York and Newcastle? Want to double check as not mega clear re: journeys under 70mins! Seems a great bargain at £13/£8.55 railcard! Not...
Thinking of purchasing a Wolverhampton to Coventry 1st class single tomorrow - does this allow me entry into 4 1st class lounges as well as, obviously breaking the journey in BHM and BIA? Thanks.
Inspired by kevconner and edwin_m's contrasting posts in another thread, I thought I must post on one of my 2 major gripes with Manchester Piccadilly station. It seems to be the only station in the country (certainly only one I've used) that has these boards where all destinations are listed in...
I was just wondering if it would be possible to buy a First class single from New St - International, just to use the 1st class lounge at New St, then go back to ticket desk for a refund of "unused" ticket? Anyone ever done this? Thanks.
Having a little play on BRFares + browsing Wikipedia to consider north Wales day trip options from Manchester, got mega excited to discover 1st class fares from £14 both from Crewe (initial check) and Manchester, to lots of N Wales coast destinations like Llandudno. However on then checking...
