First Class Virgin to North Wales Advances

Having a little play on BRFares + browsing Wikipedia to consider north Wales day trip options from Manchester, got mega excited to discover 1st class fares from £14 both from Crewe (initial check) and Manchester, to lots of N Wales coast destinations like Llandudno. However on then checking Virgin site, can't find any advances on 1st even for Jan/Feb? Can anyone explain this? Is BR Fares just wrong on this occasion (only just discovered it!). Thanks!

Remember that these are Virgin Trains Only fares, and Virgin don't run many North Wales services.

What dates are you looking for? I did a random search for Jan 14th/15th for Crewe to Llandudno Junction, ticking the box that says "Trains with no changes" on WebTIS, and these £14 fares are duly shown.

A bit trickier from Manchester. In WebTIS, I searched for Manchester Piccadilly to Llandudno Junction via Crewe, and when the results are brought up, went to "Show slower routes" and ticked the box "Virgin Trains Only". There is availability on the return portion from North Wales but there does not seem to be anything available on the outward, so this is definitely possible.

Many thanks, think it's because I was inputting Llandudno rather than Llandudno Junc! Noticed even tomorrow had the cheapest 1st class ticket so will probably leave it until the day before - seems to be great availability. What a great find - 2 hours of 1st class Virgin weeknight travel for this price!
