They do introduce them sometimes. Recruitment is wild at the moment so they are doing video interviews and applying tests to vacancies to whittle down numbers. They are also closing vacancies when it hits 5O applicants aswell.
you can take notes to an interview but ask first and always take advantage of the water when they ask a question take a sip it gives you little thinking time.
The first question they’ll ask is your motivational fit ie why you want the job etc. Also think about putting the passenger first that’s they are all about at the moment.
I work for NWR and everyone office based is working from home at the moment. Until recently only business critical depts could log on during the day, everyone else had to work in the evening after 4pm so there will be longer delays than usual.
They are more likely to do video interviews as then they can be done at anytime and the questions are timed you only have x amount of time to answer the question.
If you are a retired or former Signaller on the railways and want to do more to help the country, please see the below and get in touch. Let's do our bit and keep the country moving during this challenging time. They may need you in these unprecedented times!
If this is with NR think about safety including the life saving rules and putting the passenger first. The first thing they’ll ask is why you want to work for NR and your motivational fit.
