Hi guys just applied for a job as Operative Signalling Maintenance, and have got an interview I was just after some back ground information about the job and interview if anyone can help?

If this is with NR think about safety including the life saving rules and putting the passenger first. The first thing they’ll ask is why you want to work for NR and your motivational fit.

Shifts - all hours of the day/night. Precise details e.g. shift pattern and length will depend on the depot.

Nights and weekends are enhanced, but the amount varies on the specific contract as there are several. Some areas have lots of overtime available. The last couple of years I've earned an extra 25-35% of my salary, but I am a bit of an overtime fiend and some areas may have more or less no overtime going so can't be relied upon at all.
