    I don’t think NR wanted to give it up at that time as they had just modernised the signalling with the WARS scheme. Yes, NR didn’t want to alter their signalling so it would have to be overlay.

    There are joint staff toilets in the lower concourse but drivers do not take breaks at Wimbledon. For a time an LU Duty Manager was positioned during peak hours but I believe this has now been withdrawn.
