There have been at least 4 incidents since deregulation in 1986, and there was possibly an incident before involving a Weaste Depot based ANA---Y Northern Counties Atlantean in the early 1980's. The easiest solution is to divert all bus services away from Barton Lane, that way any confusion between a decker and a saloon is removed, except both the Diamond incidents were buses taking a short cut back to their depot on Lyntown Industrial Estate, so maybe not. It would be obvious a decker can't fit under that bridge just looking at it, but presumably some drivers think they are driving a saloon, because they are more used to driving those, or simply forget.
