I guess a hypothetical 170+155 diagram could be arranged so the leading unit is used in each direction (if platform lengths won't allow the whole consist to be available for passenger use)
Heaton still has a 170 in the sun on Saturday.A 170 just passed through Leeds from Heaton, possibly this unit finally coming down?

Don't think Scot-rail has released any more 170s lately.Presumably this is another 170 enroute to Crewe?

So the plot thickens.

The 170s have the combined power and brake control so on an incline the driver takes the brake off and then has to take power which can lead to a slight bit of roll back, Same as the 333s.
To be honest I’m not sure how it works as I’m usually at the backDo they not have a brake hold button, which keeps the brakes on up to a certain speed to help prevent rollback
I believe they do. I think you hold said button in while taking the first notch of power, and then release it once the power has taken to release the brakes. Or something like that...Do they not have a brake hold button, which keeps the brakes on up to a certain speed to help prevent rollback
The 170s will shortly be deployed on a very small number of Leeds to York via Micklefield possibly the last one off York has been mentioned
