There is an MCL open day at Gascoigne Wood on Thursday which is why 93004 moved today.

A user cannot be found until the locomotives receive type acceptance from Network Rail. Hence any movement of a class 93 runs under a Q headcode at present.

Have they still not been accepted yet? I thought from talking with them at the Great Gathering that they were hoping it would be soon (from August)

A user can be found prior to formal acceptance. If, for example, Freightliner were seriously considering using them there is absolutely nothing to prevent one moving to Basford Hall for familiarisation and static training, but none have gone anywhere.

They were moved out of Worksop as there was trackwork going on at the entrance to the down yard. They were simply moved to Castle Donnington in case they were needed for driver training and ended up trapped in Worksop.

Word from inside the project is that the class 93s received their NRSC from NR for service operation on Friday. There has been a bit of a delay on this due to holiday season. Just waiting on AsBo approval now but this was just waiting for the NRSC.
