I saw this message on this page in the leaf fall timetable text
"Further changes will be made to the timetable between 13 December 2026 and 10 January 2027, including significant changes over the Christmas and New Year period. Please check online journey planners nearer the time."...
I'm trying to understand how this works and I cannot seem to find a complete picture of Oval fares calculations online
I take an NR journey from an Oval contactless-only station before 0630 and continue to a Zone 1 LU station in a single journey
Then travel around zone 1 LU off peak afterwards...
I am hoping to do Pullman dining at the end of November. However it's only available for booking until mid Nov currently which is only 6 weeks away. Are there any expected changes to services & is this kind of horizon normal based on forum experiences?
Paddington-Oxford on the 1658 non stop. one day travelcard & a BZ6-Oxford Off peak day single (network railcard discounted) . Code W1 valid after 0930.
Valid for that train or not ? Refused at the barrier "as that is a peak train"
I'm trying to search for a ticket from London Marylebone to Aylesbury Vale Parkway today and I'm getting error
"Sorry, we encountered an error when searching for your ticket options
Please try another search"
I can search for say London to High Wycombe OK but Princes Risborough doesn't work...
Anyone know what has happened in the Aylesbury area? Met line services can't run toward London until later this week
Tomorrow the plan seems to be to cancel the Aylesbury-Princes Risborough shuttles and use the single line to accommodate trains towards London non stop from Aylesbury which then...
This week I've noticed Chiltern doing something they've never done before to my knowledge and that is "deleting" (P-coding?) trains very last minute. This has included the last trains most of this week - the last 3 tonight !
Tomorrow they've cut 23 trains out including the evening...
I've been using the railforums ticket website to buy tickets from outside London into London. Today it offered me ticket to London Undergrnd Zones 1-5 which I'm not familiar with and can't find any fares for it on brfares
Is this valid into a London Terminal and then onwards to a station within...
I need to travel Aylesbury Vale Parkway - Ramsgate and would like to use a Network railcard discounted off-peak return. Would I be allowed to start late on this ticket (at Great Missenden) shortly after 10am (buying a anytime single to Great Missenden to cover the bit before 10am)?
I'm looking at the 10:22 GWR Swansea-Reading service next Friday. When I look at the seat map coach G is fully available (in fact 88 seats out of 78 apparently )but the other coaches seem to only allow you to book aisle seats. Does this mean these are still "socially distanced" and no one...
Hi everyone!
I haven't really been too active on here as I've been living in the Far East for 4 years now, but will shortly be moving back to the UK. I've followed along with the myriad of rolling stock and service changes with interest and I look forward to sampling some of them later this...
HI
I'll shortly be moving to Ramsgate and commuting to London , so I'll be forking out the price of a small car to South Eastern trains each year for a season ticket! I haven't decided on London Terminals or Zones 1-6 yet
I definitely want +HS1 - any tips for anything cheaper? Can PM me...
Out of curiosity I just had a look - the full event service appears to have operated? I would have expected at least the dedicated services to be cancelled. Or is it just too complicated at the last minute?
According to the GWR weekly update - there are late notice changes to local services from Cardiff, with a shuttle to/from Bristol instead of the Portsmouth Harbour services and that the times online are now incorrect.
But I can't see anywhere a revised timetable? Or do I have to wait for the...
saw this on their website
https://www.chilternrailways.co.uk/news/ticketing-retail-trial
Sounds interesting, though I imagine most passengers would want some kind of travelcard so not sure how useful it is

Looks fun and a nice surprise for those not expecting it!
Was it this train?

Hi all
Eventually I'd like a list of all stations you can reach Waterloo in 45mins from (to aid a house search)
I was thinking I'd look at all arrivals between 7.30am and 8.30am as my sample
Any idea how I could do this? I had a look at the the raw data available but that looks a bit...
Just a question to satisfy my curiosity
The booking engines will offer up (with a network rail card) a £14 single for this - seemingly a SSD - London Zone 1-3 ticket.
a) if I selected the "London Zone 1-3" option on the machine would it offer this - we tried a couple e.g. 1-2 and were only...
I'll soon be doing this trip 1-2 days a week and am rather shocked at the £43.30 return fare here!
I have a network railcard so obviously I can just buy as two singles and I'll do Clapham Junction - Reading via SW mainly to save on cost but am interested in any tips - e.g. any off peak...
Just curious really!
I was waiting at Queens Park on Tuesday 9th December around 9am and there was a developing signal failure at Waterloo
When I arrived it seemed like a tube from the north had just terminated there as the platform was packed. Then a tube went through platform 2...
