I saw this message on this page in the leaf fall timetable text

"Further changes will be made to the timetable between 13 December 2026 and 10 January 2027, including significant changes over the Christmas and New Year period. Please check online journey planners nearer the time."

Does anyone know what changes would be occuring over such a long period ? Or is this just changes coming in the Dec timetable that starts that day?

As it says...
Our Leaf Fall timetable starts on Monday 28 September 2026 and runs until Sunday 10 January 2027:
The 'Leaf Fall' changes only affect trains on our Metropolitan Line Route (via Amersham) that run towards London. Northbound trains heading away from London are not affected.
Trains on the route via Amersham will leave Aylesbury Vale Parkway, Aylesbury, Stoke Mandeville, Wendover, Great Missenden, Amersham, Chalfont & Latimer and Chorleywood will leave up to three minutes earlier than before, when heading towards London Marylebone.
Amended timetables are often in place at Weekends (or sometimes late at night) to allow essential maintenance work to take place. Please check before you travel.

Further changes will be made to the timetable between 13 December 2026 and 10 January 2027, including significant changes over the Christmas and New Year period. Please check online journey planners nearer the time.

Changes made for Leaf Fall, for the LUL timetable run, this year, till Sunfay 10th January.

There is, also, Christmas and New Year blockages to account for in terms of timetable changes as well as the usual Christmas / New Year reductions to service levels.

This year's blockages are centered around Bidmingahm and Slough, meaning additional demand on the Chiltern services rather than Chilterns own routes being blocked.
