Hi all,
I have recently moved to Aylesbury and my house overlooks Chiltern's maintenance depot at Aylesbury station. There are three class 121s that seem to be resident here. From what I can gather from the internet, there are two operational units that are regularly used in service, and one...
Well it looks like hull trains will be terminating at Brough this weekend. Anyone any idea on how the logistics of that are going to work? Where are they going to keep any units between services?

Every time I'm in Hull Paragon there seems to be a team of people nursing at least 158. Yesterday evening it was two that appeared not to want to start.
Is this commmon?
did the deltic prototype ever make it to hull paragon? My dad swears blond it hauled a service he was on, but I thought I had read elsewhere it couldn't come to hull due to clearance issues?
Can anyone shed any light?
Does anyone know if they're actually coming to Hull or not?
TBQH we don't want silly electric trains. Noisy, rattly diesels are where it's at, Mr Cameron.
Just got back tonight, and in Hull there was a 158 in what looked like northern livery, but had blue vinyl over the bottom half of the coach with branding?
Do tpe still have some 158s then?
Just been delivered home on a 158 from Hull.
I was sat at the back of the rear coach (stops by the footbridge at ferriby, y'see!) and there were less than a hand full of pax in the coach.
After the duard had made his ticket checks, he actually sat in the saloon chatting and generally...
Does anyone know what trains are going in and out of Hull at the minute?
I've seen atleast 3 two car sets of sprinters that were not 158s, but I didn't get a look at the numbers (working at a house just up from station) but everyone keeps telling me its only 158s round here!
Ok, so time to get a little creative for the DMU-heads about here.
You've got to design a DMU. Please include a description of the bodystyle, interior, power plants and transmission. Any other details to include are fine :)
The only catch is; you can only use technology that is currently...
A class 158. Although this was no ordinary class 158, oh no, let me tell you.
I was Sat on Seamer station this morning absolutely roasting. Like properly mafting. I was dreading my hour and a half journey back to Hull in the heat, with only four workable windows that don't really let much...
Hello peoples.
I'm quite interested in various driving techniques of the class 158 series. In particular I'm interested to know what 'notch' is required for an average, flat, start. I know notch 3 is used to get going, but once it's rolling is it notched straight up to 7? How does it work...
Ok, so I've been travelling with NR recently quite a lot - all of my journeys bar one have been on 158s - the other one was a 14something.
They seem to have a lot of units that have both english and welsh signage inside the train. Then their other ones just have 'icons' on the signs inside...
How are they doing at the moment?
There were three HT 180s in Hull on bank holiday monday, as well as a freight loco on the same siding as one of the 180s. Coincidence?
Every friday I rely on catching a train between Ferriby and Scarborough. Unfortunately on friday the train failed at Doncaster - before it got anywhere near Ferriby.
I gave NR a call and a very nice chappy rang me back within 5 minutes. He told me to get on the next train to Hull, then change...
