LNER Class 91/Mk4 service status/withdrawals/2021 refurbishment

Does anyone know the likely 91 digrams for Friday 25th ans Sunday 27th June?

    Caledonian Sleeper

And by everything else that's unprofitable on the GWR network, like Newquay and Looe branches, and probably the entire mainline west of Plymouth, or even Exeter. If you want to follow this argument, then you need to be supportive of shutting most of GWR.

What is the shortest minimum connection time (MCT) in the whole of the National Rail network?

There's no provision in the data for different "halves" of a station to be identified and to have different MCTs - they would have to be separate stations with separate CRS codes. There probably was (or is?) a different MCT depending on the TOCs you were interchanging between, which is...

Mobile phone ticket that needs to be Activated

It’s relevant. There are many examples on here of customers thinking they have one type of ticket, when they have another; and many more of retailers offering the wrong fulfilment types, or simply inventing their own hybrid ones (like First Group).

Mobile phone ticket that needs to be Activated

Where did you buy your ticket from, what ticket type is it, and where is the ticket from and to, please?

    Groupsave validity question

It's last year's dates. The TOCs and RDG are woeful at updating the GroupSave calendar, which is often a year or more out of date.

Southeastern station refused GWR mobile ticket for break of journey

A small point f detail: the barcode is actually an Aztec code, not a QR code. This is rubbish. BoJ is the same no matter what the ticket format. This is rubbish. If a ticket is valid for a journey, then the format it is valid on does not matter. Their statement: "As our company doesn't have a...

Class 71s on the South West main line

I know. The OP refers to 71s in the mid 1970s, so I assume they were asking the question regarding the use of these locos on the SWML irrespective of whether they had been rebuilt to 74s or not.

    24 Jul Coventry-Berkhamsted - inconsistencies between sites

Of course. London Underground staff would doff their caps and accept it without question. The issue here is not London Underground, but Avanti's poor booking engine.

    24 Jul Coventry-Berkhamsted - inconsistencies between sites

The Avanti website is rubbish, full of inaccuracies, and best avoided. Even for a simple journey such as London to Manchester - a route which you might think mattered to Avanti - it can't get things right: as well as direct trains, it shows unnecessary (no cheaper) itineraries via Sheffield, as...

"Islands", "overlap" and curious borders between different zonal fare systems

I believe Devon and Cornwall is soon to be a pay as you go area, though whether it will have multiple zones I don’t know.

    A bizarre fare

An SDR is from Stevenage to London is £23.90. So eight of these are £191.20. £177.00 is a 7.4% discount. The 7 day season is £101.70. So that's a 74% increase.

What is the shortest minimum connection time (MCT) in the whole of the National Rail network?

Sutton has a minimum connection time of 1 minute for Thameslink to Thameslink. It’s because they are actually the same train going round the Sutton loop.

Is a Birmingham Stations to London Zone U12 ticket valid on the tube from Queens Park to London?

Thanks for all the replies. If I have a Birmingham Stations to London Terminals ticket, is that valid on the tube from Queens Park (QPW) to Paddington (PAD), by virtue of "interavailability"?

Is a Birmingham Stations to London Zone U12 ticket valid on the tube from Queens Park to London?

Thanks. I agree that’s the normal interpretation. But I’m struggling to find explicit rules that govern the use of the zone U12 bit - and, specifically, where you can end your rail journey and start your tube journey. There are journeys from rail stations outside London to (for example) Zones...

Is a Birmingham Stations to London Zone U12 ticket valid on the tube from Queens Park to London?

If I have a Birmingham Stations to London Zones U12 ticket, I can obviously use it to do a journey such as - Birmingham New Street to London Euston (train) - London Euston to Queens Park (tube) (Queens Park is in Zone 2) However, could I use it instead to do: - Birmingham New Street to Queens...
