Another Delay Repay question..multi leg journey, both delayed.

I think we are all going to just have to agree to disagree.

Another Delay Repay question..multi leg journey, both delayed.

I really don’t agree that it is Northern’s fault. The OP presented him or herself in time for the 19.38 train from Wigan Wallgate to Southport, which Northern ran on time. The reason that the OP did not present themselves for an earlier train, as originally booked, is that the Avanti train they...

Another Delay Repay question..multi leg journey, both delayed.

As I explained in post #7, it's Avanti's fault. They were late, thus the OP got a later Northern train and arrived very late at his / her destination. What else is there to say?

Travel Between London Terminals During Disruption

Perhaps we are both experts. Sending out an email to warn of a change to an itinerary though is a thing that should happen the day before. This only needs DTD and Darwin data to be effected. Additional info is indeed in TOCs' own systems (though is much more interlinked with Darwin these days)...

Another Delay Repay question..multi leg journey, both delayed.

Hi The minimum connection time from Wigan NW to Wigan Wallgate is 11 minutes (5 minutes interchange at North Western; 1 minute walk to Wallgate; 5 minutes interchange time at Wallgate). Officially you could not have caught any train earlier than 19.03 from Wallgate (because of the delay). You...

Travel Between London Terminals During Disruption

All retailers (whether train operator or third party) have access to the same information regarding scheduled train times, rescheduled train times, and disruption information, via the same few data feeds (namely the DTD feed and the Darwin feed) that would enable the things that Hadders and I...

LNER Class 91/Mk4 service status/withdrawals/2021 refurbishment

Oh dear. It did the 19.00 Kings Cross to Edinburgh on Friday 21st Feb. Others out on Friday 21st were 91107 on the 19.30 Kings Cross to Edinburgh and 91115 on the 18.30 Kings Cross to Edinburgh (full and standing to Doncaster!).

Travel Between London Terminals During Disruption

Very few people buy from Newtown station. A lot of people buy online. For all those who buy online, this problem could be solved. Those who buy from ticket offices in advance of travel could be advised to check before travelling. Most purchases from ticket offices are for travel today or...

Question about fares from Chelmsford to London Terminals

The OP is travelling from Chelmsford though, not from Stratford (London). The easement data does not contain via Stratford (London) (SRA); just from (or to) Stratford (London) (SRA).

    Remaining LNER Class 91 services

Does anyone know if any of the first three departures (at 07.54, 08.55 and 09.25) from Newcastle to kings cross tomorrow Sunday 23rd February are booked a 91? The LNER website gives no guidance.

West Malling to Crofton Park - Southeastern season valid?

I was asking for the exact details of the ticket. Not the journey. In particular I was trying to clarify if it was indeed a route “not via London” ticket. I’m also assuming that it’s a ticket specifically from West Malling to specifically Crofton - Travelcards could also have been a possibility...

    Caledonian Sleeper

the station opens at 04.00 as TimboM has already said: https://www.networkrail.co.uk/communities/passengers/our-stations/edinburgh-waverley The people who climbed over the gate at 04.00 should probably just have waited for ... oh 30 seconds. Probably makes for a good dinner party story though.

West Malling to Crofton Park - Southeastern season valid?

Whatever season you have it’s not a ‘Southeastern season’, as that doesn’t exist. It doesn’t matter if you bought it from Southeastern (which I assume you did). It’s valid on any train operator on the route it’s valid. It would be useful if you could share the exact details though.

Is there any possibility of updated diagrams, including weekend ones? Thanks.

Even for the Caledonian Sleeper thread this is getting wildly off topic. But maybe it’s a good sign?

Advance Singles permitting routes that are not permitted with ANY flexible ticket for the same flow.

I'm sure there are many routes where Advance fares are permitted, but flexible fares are not. Nuneaton to Cambridge is an example - the only flexible fare is routed "Not via London" (effectively via Leicester, Peterborough and Ely). In addition to Advance fares that are valid that way, there is...

You can just display the PDF on a phone (I assume you have a phone that can do that?) There is no need to print it out, that's just an option.

    Caledonian Sleeper

You should have both a pdf and a pkpass attachment for your eTicket - they are the same thing, just in different formats. Is it the pdf that is the problem, or the pkpass? If you are trying to open the pkpass on a device that is not an iPhone or iPad then they won’t work, unless you have...
