Just the usual track renewal.

We’ve only had that in managerial grades at my TOC. Nothing like that for traincrew.

Good to see another £4.5m is about to be spent on the Inverness-Kyle of Lochalsh railway. Some track will be upgraded over 3 weeks from 19th October-10th November with RR buses operating from Dingwall to Kyle.

Considering it’s only a refresh for the 158s that is a far superior job than I expected. Hats off EMR.

I have heard it all now. You will deprive the Thetford line of their train service, add extra trains to the single line section through Newmarket when there are no spare paths, and cost £millions to create a new curve and two additional junctions. Just why??

Sara Cox starts her radio 2 show each evening with “ladies gentlemen boy and girls and everything in between” and has done for a few years now. Sound okay and lovely and lighthearted to me.

Oh I’ve had some very rough class 170 riding on this stretch along with 755s. Just ignored it as a driver thinking it was the leading bogie but also had it as a passenger on XC.

I can’t ever see Cardiff services running to Central except possibly on start/end of day if then. I thought the eventual plan was for hourly Cardiff-Taunton and Exeter/Plymouth-Penzance services to get joined up so as to also do the honours at Wellington and Cullompton stations when they reopen.

Ticket offices and conductors take cash. It’s only some catering aspects that don’t for some reason.

Definitely nothing and no link up for Elvedon (Thetford).

We’ve got one close to Thetford and have never heard of many people using the train to visit. It’s really not worth the effort and as something like this could close down at any time the only way a railway or station would even be considered is if they stump up the cost or at least a very large...

Here in the Wonderful World of Greater Anglia we don’t need them but thankfully have retained yellow fronts on our entire and very large fleet.

Yes I would expect so and always good to see revenue protection in force.
