The 13:41 Peterborough-Norwich on Wednesday was a 3-car 170 with passengers struggling for seat and luggage space.

I was quite surprised with Brent Cross West. Reports from many suggested it was being poorly patronised but the figure for the first year has come in at a very positive 675k. The stations two minutes either side are Cricklewood (slightly down by around 13k) and Hendon (up almost 50k).

It’s a wind up. Drivers most certainly wouldn’t be wearing a uniform looking anything like that.

In your final comment, yes, that has been seen to be the case with managerial and clerical but I have not known that apply to any traincrew grades. These tend to remain with all that is best with T&Cs only giving into slight changes for better financial gain.

I am so sure it will. Nobody I know currently employed on the railway shows any sign of concern.
