Lothian Group discussion (Lothian City, Lothian Country Bus and East Coast Buses)

I suppose the question is more about the profitability overall. Country might be better but is it just less loss making? For all the busy journeys there are a lot of empty ones that cancel those. Would be surprised if not breaking even as the old Livingston operation was profitable for First.

    JMB Travel

The 41A is just a 210 renumber so kept in the route family. Still be tendered Be interesting to see what’s all changing

East Kilbride line to be allocated a mixture of electric and diesel traction for Dec 2025 timetable change (updates not speculation)

I’m surprised there is still a diesel diagram on a Sunday. surely the fleet argument isn’t relevant. egg on face for environmental statements, .

East Yorkshire Motor Services, now part of Go-Ahead

Will the electrics stretch their legs at the weekend onto other routes? Be good to see them about York

With Yutongs arriving at Kilmarnock - what will this cascade? Does that result in Kilmarnock being fully EV service bus and just coaches diesel?

ScotRail Suburban Fleet (EMU and BEMU) Market Engagement

Is a lot of the route choice down to the level accessing and removing of ramps, etc. Would imagine time savings and potential diagram improvements are also considered with more of a mix at central being possible with a fixed fleet.

Any update on the Volvos hitting the road on the 99? Does anyone know the plan and if they will also be on locals or is there just enough for that alone

December 2025 Timetable Change - Confirmed changes only

Thanks Suppose irrespective of which alternative, there is a fair amount more benefit of the 802 on those than Scarborough

West Coast Motors & Borders Buses

It looks like 253 doesn’t save anything and just using vehicles more locally or missing something. Anything more changing across patch?

December 2025 Timetable Change - Confirmed changes only

With Scarborough losing its 802s - is this to enable more ECML to Redcar be operated under electric and have faster speeds?

    McGill’s Midland Bluebird

Strange Would expect the benefits to be done as per the west and Dundee

    McGill’s Midland Bluebird

When are the final Yutongs due into service at Larbert? Looks to be a few still to hit the road. Also will we see X37 run with EVs in Sunday’s as like the west that everything that can physically take it round the route is run with them

    Stagecoach East Scotland

Slightly off topic but Cumbernauld as a network must be up for review. If Fife cutting due to costs then would expect that to be the same.

    Stagecoach East Scotland

Looks like reducing some express services aswell to match cock requirements. This must be the next biggest cull in Fife given recent cut backs. Presume if look to pre Covid and even Glasgow down to 3 v 2 then there must be a sharp drop in requirements.

Transpennine Route Upgrade and Electrification updates

Would it be worth extending wires in Plt 4 at york to enable 802 to use wires as much when working to Scarborough. Speed is a factor but surely emissions would also benefit in the station if those services could benefit at least until arrival

    WCML ongoing OHLE renewal.

So given what was planed - is it simple renewals or any improvements

Lothian Group discussion (Lothian City, Lothian Country Bus and East Coast Buses)

Are they trying to maximise the amount of EV journeys with this interworking?
