Go Ahead London non TFL routes.

The school routes also have a route map on their website, but unusually, they also include notes for drivers, such as 'risk of grounding'. See attached for an example. https://goaheadlondon.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/618_Route_Map.pdf

Go Ahead London non TFL routes.

Operationally, it would make sense for the three school routes to operate out of Sutton, but don't know if this is the case. Some of the fleet was used on railway replacement services in Kent and Sussex and were outposted. I thought the Commercial Services fleet was kept at Stockwell - useful...

    Court hearing help

In your first post, you said that you voluntarily went up to the attendant. Which is correct? Were you caught up in the crowd and couldn't back out of the barrier? Would this, plus voluntarily approaching the attendant be a good defence?

Thread Updated with GWR’s Response To The Petition

I've come to this thread somewhat late, but do feel that you have been badly treated and should receive a better service. One thing to add. You say that sometimes you find it hard to find the right words when writing your letters to GWR. This forum also helps people, who have had issues with...

Class 701 'Aventra' trains for South Western Railway: progress updates

I suppose one of the shortfalls of through carriages is that you can't lock a single carriage out of use due to damage, whilst still operating the rest of the rake. You have to take the whole rake oos.

    The death of various forums

I also think that this forum works well is because the threads are very friendly - there are no bitter arguments, trolling etc. Yes there are disagreements, but the cases are well argued and friendly. This is probably down to the moderators doing a great job, but also the posters being considerate.

    Tea and coffee

I would argue that coffee became more popular from the 1970s or so when coffee became easier to make, and became tastier. Initially there was powdered coffee, then coffee granules, which made coffee easy to make - just add water and milk. Teas became easier with teabags, but still required...

Trivia: Special work site bus routes?

Is there a benefit-in-kind tax implication for the employee? Providing free travel to work is surely counted as a perk.

    Ember: Electric coach service

Do other companies, e.g. Flixbus or Nat Exp run coaches on new routes for driver training (prior to carrying passengers), as opposed to sending staff on existing routes for route training? Or do others rely on sat nav etc?

    Appeal help

The ticket seems to have been correctly completed - the fare is correct, the reason seems ok, and the locations quoted seem to be correct. Incorrect / misspelt names are not sufficient reasons to cancel the PF. The only technicality maybe if there was insufficient signage at Preston (I assume...

Prosecution letter for a railcard expiration

I maybe old-fashioned, but I always capitalise Court to recognise its status - it's not like a tennis court for example. Also, do you want to refer to the date when you agreed the out of Court settlement to give some context? Should you also add that you expect GTR to withdraw the case and you...

What were the most/least successful, post millennium bus bodies in London?

Ditto Scania Omnicity single deckers used on the 358 because of a low bridge. 1759772832 And weren't they the first battery double decker (or at least the first to meet TfL specification) so they should have had a march on all other manufacturers. So why didn't they?
