Fantasy - GWML west of Old Oak Common

Is there a maximum length of tunnel through which diesel trains can travel? If so, since I assume most freight is diesel hauled, it would make sense not to send freight down the tunnel.

Fantasy - GWML west of Old Oak Common

How far from the current GWML will the third runway at Heathrow be? Could there be a slight diversion to serve the new third runway terminal, and would there be some sort of internal link from the third runway to the main airport?

Greater Anglia Penalty Fare - Contactless Mistake at Kelvedon".

Thanks @MikeWh. I did feel that we were struggling to give the OP the best advice, and you have cut through the fog. PS - what's an RID?

    Good bus territory?

True about the cascaded buses - although those from B&H are Volvo Wrights, and still seem pretty decent.

Greater Anglia Penalty Fare - Contactless Mistake at Kelvedon".

According to the RealTime Trains data, the train called at Beaulieu Park at 9.15. So the inspectors took 12 minutes to get to you to print the Penalty Fare, or did they get to you before getting to Witham at 9.23, but then went off to see to the other passengers before returning to you? The...

    London Buses Discussion

But not everyone can ride a bike through health, age or employment reasons (e.g. a plumber can't carry all his tools on a bike). So if you think a reduction in bus frequencies is a win, it will be a distinct loss for a cohort of people in this era of equality.

Greater Anglia Penalty Fare - Contactless Mistake at Kelvedon".

I'm not sure that is the train the OP used - she said she boarded at Leytonstone, but this train does not stop there. Did she change somewhere? The other thing to point out is that the inspector charged her for a ticket from Stratford to Kelvedon, but according to RTT, that train did not stop...

Greater Anglia Penalty Fare - Contactless Mistake at Kelvedon".

How did he know where you were travelling to, because according to the next quote, you only told him where you were travelling to after he said it was not allowed. I suspect that your account above was not a true recollection of the timeline, and that you must have told him where you were...

Greater Anglia Penalty Fare - Contactless Mistake at Kelvedon".

We don't know when the incident occurred, given that two appeals have been submitted and rejected. The OP may be out of time for requesting CCTV recordings since they may have been over-written or are near to being over-written. Therefore the OP needs to apply for the video recordings as soon as...

    Good bus territory?

On-line banking, on-line shopping for goods and food and Deliveroo must have reduced demand. The other obvious one is university campuses, particularly if halls of residences are out of town. But, if universities are suffering from reduced student numbers / prospective students being...

The Conservative Party under Kemi Badenoch

The problem with the Truss budget was that it was launched on an unsuspecting financial sector, and they were spooked. Had she taken the time (which admittedly was limited) to warm up her audience and sell her ideas in advance, then the reaction to the budget would have been different. She also...

    London Buses Discussion

Are the times quoted for the pre-electric buses the timetabled or actual times? I often see SL7s bunching, so clearly are not running to time; maybe the electric buses, with their better acceleration, can keep to time better, which means sticking to the timetable.

    Fraud Accusation

I've come late to the party, but one thing struck me was how did they know you were female if you hadn't had any interaction with them? Did they pick the info up from Trainline?
