Probably a bit early to say, but has this provided any work for the reprieved Scottish factories of Alexander Dennis?

    Expired railcard

Firstly, can I suggest a quick recap on where we are? There are over 130 posts in this thread, and I, for one, cannot recall the current status. For example, have you offered to pay for the difference between the full Anytime fare and the discounted fares you bought and which you have accepted...

Class 701 'Aventra' trains for South Western Railway: progress updates

Is it possible to exchange a carriage from the middle of a 701/0 with a carriage from a 701/5, or are they mutually exclusive? If you can, maybe a 701/0 carriage needs considerable attention so was swapped with a 701/5 to get another rake into service.

Help with response to Letter from GTR

For Journey 1, did you leave Leagrave to go to St Pancras, and then for the return, wanted to go from St Pancras to Biggleswade thinking you could use the return part of the ticket? If not, why did you not get a St Pancras to Biggleswade ticket if you wanted to go to Biggleswade?

Help with response to Letter from GTR

For journey 1 what was your ticket, and did you catch the wrong train taking you further away from your destination? For journey 2, what journey were you making, and what ticket(s) did you hold (i.e. what was your start and finish station)?

Do EV vehicles rattle so much - the engines don't idle in the same way diesels do?

Class 701 'Aventra' trains for South Western Railway: progress updates

Can they not refer to it as the Waterloo circular route via Kingston / Twickenham / Hounslow as appropriate?

Fare dodging at Reading - appeal advice

Very interesting points of law if the OP had not tailgated through the barrier. If the OP had walked through an open barrier, I suspect no laws or byelaws could be proved to have been broken.

Fare dodging at Reading - appeal advice

The immediate thing that strikes me is that it says "Boarded at Reading, Issued at Reading, Destination is Reading". Two out of three may be correct, but not all three, unless the OP decided not to travel anywhere.

    Correct Route, wrong date

Your 'offence' really is at the very low end of offences. Maybe they have had more serious cases to be investigated, and yours may be at the bottom of the pile, so it may have missed the 6 month deadline.

Fare dodging at Reading - appeal advice

If it was TfL staff, they tend to prefer the prosecution route rather than out of Court settlements. £50 would seem to be a good outcome, but please upload your documents.

    Oxford ticket validity

In which case the punishment should be the same: the cost of the fare refunded plus £150 compensation.

    GTR Witness Notice

There's not much you can do. Contacting them without knowing the case reference number (which would be given in the letter, so you won't have one) would only complicate things - they won't find it easy to match your letter with your case without the case reference. There is always the chance...

    Good Experience for wheelchair user

That's good to hear. Have you considered sending a similar letter to your train operator - probably GNER? I'm sure that they would be pleased to hear of a positive experience rather than a complainr!

Prosecution letter for a railcard expiration

When you post your letter, send it 'Royal Mail Tracked 24' - you need to do this at a Post Office or sub Post Office. This way, you have proof that they received the letter. Other 'Signed for' options are available, but Tracked allows you to follow its progress.

    Using someone else’s railcard

Splitting hairs maybe. Although your sister sent you a copy of her railcard, did she know what you were going to do with it? Please answer truthfully - digging a deeper hole is not advisable. She could have just sent you a copy so that you knew what sort of railcard you could get. But if she...

    Govia thameslink- no railcard

Failing to give your address is an offence it its own right. Giving a false address probably falls under the same category. They probably took details of your ticket so probably can link it back to you. I would be tempted to write back, apologising for your error, and asking if the matter can...

    Caught reusing period return ticket

Can Greater Anglia prove who used the ticket? If not, is it just a phishing exercise? Not that I am advocating fare evasion. Please ensure your family member buys the correct ticket from now on. There are a range of season tickets which may work out cheaper if they are a regular traveller...
