Certainly Southport & Moorfields (the two I use) are barriered, but my current annual Trio pass is a paper ticket, so I cant go through the barriers and use the sidegates instead.
Thanks for this I have registered as I travel between Southport - Moorfields (and back obviously !) 4 days a week.
I will keep you updated with developments !.
There was a legal notice in the Times about it yesterday.
Sadly I dont subscribe to the electronic version , so I cant link to it, but it seems there is a lot of work to be done.
My thoughts are
1) FCC arent interested in what your daughter had been doing
2) Remove the line "I purchased my Anytime Day Return ticket from Shortlands to London Terminals as I have done on many occasions before whenever travelling into central London. " - as this may lead FCC to...
At least you got out before you became institionalised ! - me with the years I have done, I would serve LESS time in prison for murder ! (but I have my gold -plated pension to look forward to ... NOT).
The Police and the Security Services have a legal right to request that info from HMRC, but even they have to do it properly.
There is no way a private co like a TOC should be able to request it IMHO
I wouldnt give my National Insurance Number to anyone , as its a prime identifier and can be used fraudulently.
The only reason I can think they are asking for it is so they can check with HMRC if you live where you say you do BUT thats a breach of the Data Protection Act as far as I`m aware...

I nominated Euston as my home station

I caught a train from Moorfields to Southport, last Friday afternoon in Peak hour and I have to congratulate Merseyrail on how well organised they are !.
They have pens on the concourse above the platforms for trains heading North to Southport/Ormskirk and trains heading South to the Wirral...
In my Civil Service job, since Xmas 2009 I have had 140 days sick in 2 batches.
First batch was for breaking my left wrist @ Nuneaton station running to catch a Virgin train home to Liverpool - that was approx 70 days and then :
Second batch Easter 2011 about another 70 days for corrective...
I *think* Railway Enforcement Officers are the hired muscle for train companies and if you travel on Merseyrail are there to make sure you dont have your feet on the seats etc.
