I was speaking to a guard on Tuesday morning on my way to work and asked him that exact question. Apparently there will be crowd control @ Moorfields, which will mean that pople will ONLY be allowed to enter the station JUST BEFORE their train arrives to to stop congestion on the platforms...

Correct ! Southport station is barriered so that there are discrete lines for people to get on/off the trains, the toilets are closed and the plastic portaloo`s that they use at festivals are brought in, and allegedly the trains are dry. I have seen people getting off the train at 10.00 am...
