Me & my Dad Get the train from Southport to Sandhills (and back) after we go and watch Liverpool play @ Anfield and neither we (or the other fans) are tempted to trash the train home.

In fact I can see the ferries docked at Birkenhead, from my desk at work down on the banks of the lovely River Mersey.

He was the guard on my delayed train home last night and as we approached Southport said "Will parents please make sure they leave the train with the same amount of kids that they boarded with". He always brightens my trip home after a hard day @ work.:D:D

It was proposed that the line be reopened when Liverpool FC were supposed to build their new stadium, so there would be a station near the ground. Like all things associated with my beloved LFC its a pipe dream !:(

I pay £1097 per year to travel between Southport & Liverpool Central. to get to work, and I wish Merseyrail would prosecute more fare dodgers !. Why should I subsidize someone who cant be bothered to buy a ticket ?
