Can you clarify, as using a 16-17 more than once isn't an offence. Do you mean you have been applying the 16-17 railcard to ticket purchases, when in fact you don't have one and this has happened multiple times?
Who is your email provider? With Gmail for example I can see emaisl in the "All Emails" folder going back years, regardless if I actually deleted them.
This photo was posted on a Facebook group and supposedly shows the a train on the Didcot, Newbury and Southampton Railway near Winchester. However it looks like diesel train which seems to early for the year it was supposed to have been taken. Any ideas?
Because there is a chance there might be previous journeys with the expired railcard applied, they need to investigate your journey history. Hence why there was no penalty fare offered.
Perhaps stop using Trainline in future, I always book tickets via the relevant TOc. Two advantages:
- No surcharge
- They never seem to remember railcards
