Depends on what you mean by freedom as outside Europe I don't believe anywhere else has the same freedom of movement rights within their content or trade agreement areas

I don't know if any university has yet, but I suspect that with the BBC, itn and the older broadcasters this is probably to do with protocol and with who makes themselves available for interviews. It also probably has some unintended bias from the editorial team as to how the story makes sense.

If the EU imposed a hard brexit, that would make their life difficult with the upcoming European elections. If the EU extends article 50 so that uk has to have European elections to, that causes the EU a headache as the uk generally has a low turn out and risks having a lot of ukip meps to add...

Because when unemployment rises migration needs controlling. When you have low unemployment and lots of jobs unfilled then you don't need to control it as much. Unfortunately the EU doesn't see it that way, hence why EU Citizens have freedom of movement and equal rights to job opportunities...
