I have a 2015 Skoda Fabia whose car battery has come to the end of its life. The key fob stopped working as a result. Have a new car battery but key fob does not work and have to manually open car doors.
The key fob batteries are new.
Any suggestions on how to reprogramme the keys or is it a...
A freight train hit a grounded truck on a level crossing in Pecos Texas. Sadly the train crew were killed. Video link to the incident.

The truck seem to have been grounded for a while yet no attempt appears to have been made to notify the railroad...
The All Island Strategic Rail Review in Ireland proposed a number of rail re-openings but not the line from Cork to Limerick. Given these are two largest cities outside Dublin in the Republic this seems rather strange. The missing gap from Charleville to Limerick is about 40km. If that was...
Trainsplit is undertaking a survey of rail users which forum members might be interested in

When reading this BBC article https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c207gzprr33o on China-North Korean relations I was surprised by this quote
The train would have been seen from a distance - could the journalist have mistaken dirty diesel exhaust for smoke from a steam engine - they would have...
Ignoring changes due to engineering works how many TOCs run virtually normal weekday services on the various Monday bank holidays? I can't see many people catching 04:45 LNER from Newcastle to Peterborough, the 04:50 TPE Newcastle to Liverpool or the 05:00 Greater Anglia Norwich to London...
How reliable are the early morning trains? Today for example looking at Luton Airport Parkway departures the 01:43 and 02:43 to Three Bridges and 03:43 to Brighton are cancelled, yesterday the 01:43 was cancelled, on Thursday the 01:43 and 03:43 were cancelled. Is this common and if so is there...
DB requires reservations on IC services into Austria, what penalty if any is incurred if one is travelling on an interrail ticket and you don't have a reservation?
I have a TfL Oyster 60+ card and was looking at travelling from London Marylebone to Aylesbury Vale. The Rail Forum ticketing sites offers an off-peak day return Zone 6 Boundary ticket for £19.40. However an Amersham (where the Oyster 60+ card is valid to) to Aylesbury Vale Off-peak day return...
The ORR has just published a track access dashboard https://app.powerbi.com/view?r=eyJrIjoiZTFiZTdmNWUtODhiNi00ZDRiLThhOGItMmI1YWFhZjE1YjRlIiwidCI6IjIzMjM3OTk2LTdmM2EtNDM5NC04MGY1LTQ2MGNiYzA3NjEzYiJ9 which shows the extent that operators use their contractual paths on the network.

For drivers and on-board staff what if any are the main differences in terms and conditions between the various open access operators and other passenger train operating companies, given the owning companies of the former are the same as the latter?
London Euston, Paddington, Kings Cross and Marylebone still have loco hauled services, but when were the last regular loco hauled services from the other London termini excluding HSTs?
I was intrigued that this TV programme had an aerial shot of the approach to Waterloo station complete with steam trains as well as film of the train arriving at the station. About 6mins in if looking at it on BBC IPlayer. Is this CGI use over an existing period aerial film? Or is there another...
A very emotional film telling the story of one element of the Kindertransport of children to Britain from Nazi Europe. There is a statue of him and two Kindertransport children on Platform 1 at Praha hlavní nádraží (which is where some of the action is filmed) and one of him sitting on a bench...
Given Metrolink serves 2 premier league stadiums which also host concerts, Old Trafford cricket ground, and various concert venues including the new Co-Op live arena - how does it cope with the huge demand arising from these venues? Are extra services put on or do they just run double trams but...
Struggling to understand Spain's present transport discounts. As I understand it free travel is available on local and regional bus and rail services if purchasing a €10 season ticket and you then use it for at least 16 journeys in a month, ie the €10 is refunded. Presumably the €10 ticket is...
mods note - split from this thread
There are at least five overnight coaches from London to Glasgow and two between Birmingham and Glasgow - the rail options are not widely advertised and not particularly cheap - looking a few weeks hence the sleeper seating option is £80 compared to £81 for...
Given Rail and air links to both countries have stopped from Western Europe I was surprised so see a thriving coach operation still continues. From Vilnius there are at least half a dozen coaches to Minsk a day and from Riga there were coaches to St Petersburg and Moscow.
Are there direct...
