This morning I was caught up in the disruption between Bradford Interchange and Hebden Bridge.
I witnessed two disabled passengers on the train in wheelchairs struggling to get off the overcrowded train.
The conductor got on the PA system and asked the passengers before he released the doors...
Can anyone tell me why Arriva are still using pacers on the Leeds to Manchester route? Especially a class 142 with original seating.
Just left Bradford Interchange and once again it is standing room only.
It's 2017 and travelling like this should be condemned.
Good evening gang.
Does anyone know why there are so many speed restrictions of 10mph on this line?
Also, when was it last doubled track? The 14.04 departure from Middlesbrough was standing only. Need more capacity on this line.

Hopefully this comes off because Bradford has been shafted by the rail networks for two centuries.
NORTHERN Rail faced ridicule this morning after a train driver pulled out of a station leaving the conductor behind on the platform.
The fiasco, described by the company as an operating incident, left passengers locked in carriages while a taxi was summoned to pick up the guard.

Can anyone tell me how one broken down train at Apperley Bridge has basically knocked out the entire Airedale and Wharfdale services?
I was at Ilkley for the 14:21 to Bradford Forster Square which was cancelled.
The next train at 14:51 was 25 minutes late and then subsequently held at...
Serious question: how do Northern make revenue on these doubled up services where there's no access between the two trains like a 142+150, 155+158, 142+142, 153+142 etc?
Earlier at Halifax a 142+150 to Manchester Victoria pulled in and everyone realised the guard was in the rear unit (150)...
Can anyone explain why there's three class 153 units on platforms 10a, 11a and 12a at Leeds Station.
I presume they are just in the station until evening peak rush hour and are then used to strengthen?
Can anyone explain why Northern Rail operate class 142s on this service?
This morning was absolute carnage as a 142 turned up for this service, where after leaving Bradford Interchange it was standing only.
By the time we got to Rochdale, we actually had to leave people behind the train...
Hi guys, does anyone on here know what Metro are actively doing to stop the chronic overcrowding of these services?
I presume they realise that a four car 333 unit isn't enough capacity for the the peaks?
Currently on the 16:26 Leeds - Skipton and people couldn't board it was that full...
Currently on the 6:55am Bradford Interchange to London King Cross GC service, which is a double unit due to the Challenge Cup Final taking place.
Obviously due to Platform lengths at Halifax, Brighouse and Wakefield, only the front portion is stopping to set and pick.
I'm in the rear...
Travelling 8th June after 09:30am and returning on 11th June again returning after 09:30am.
Can anyone advise on some splitting points other than Sheffield & Birmingham New Street.
Cheers for the help.
A transport authority has criticised a rail operator for its poor performance in tackling overcrowding on Bradfords trains.
Passengers using Northern Rail trains in the district also saw a decline in the quality of services at stations, train shortages and maintenance problems, a report...
Now that this service is over an hour late (due to a train fault) I've been told and isn't due into Skipton platform three for another twenty minutes, what compensatory measures can I expect from Northern Rail?
Is MCV going to be proverbially stuck with just the six platforms for the considerable future or do Northern/Network Rail (whoever owns the station) have plans in place to increase capacity and can someone tell me which ####hole decided to harvest the platforms in the first place.
Does anyone know why Northern Rail just seem to throw any class of train together to either make the service the necessary-required length or to strengthen a service?
Today I've been on a six car Leeds-York Northern service made up two 153s, one 155 and a 142 and a Wakefield-Huddersfield...
