Just found out I have tomorrow off, so thought I'd nip down to the big smoke and have a day of spotting!
Looking to leave before 10am and return any time after 6- the later the better!
Cheapest is sadly looking like a super off peak via Grantham, not far off of £40 with a railcard.
Can...
Any ideas how to get it cheap as possible? Preferably before 3pm but anytime is good as long as they can get back! They have a valid 16-25 railcard.
Thanks from the pair of us!
Surely some joined up thinking would see a huge uptake in public transport use vs Northampton?
Also does anyone have pictures of the interior of the MKIIs?
Ta
Cheers for that! No more discount for using the TPE site but it's not a major problem.
Also the 11:47 NOT-SHF is £5.30 or £4.95 walk up single?
Booked the other two anyway!
Many thanks
Trying to help a friend get to Lime St before 1pm on Saturday with a 16-25 railcard. I can't seem to beat £15.85, I know sometimes £11 tickets pop up- any body able to help?
Many Thanks
Afternoon all!
Could anybody help me get there late morning/early afternoon and return anytime after 7pm preferably with VT 1st class for as cheap as possible? I've got a 16-25 railcard. I wouldn't mind standard on the way there if it's significantly cheaper but really want 1st on the return...
I can totally understand why they do it- but in the seated bit I would've thought it would be like normal day services- bring a well behaved dog on by all means. No skin off of our noses but the dog might be disappointed he misses out on a good old run through the highlands!
So far I've found £60 odd each each way. I did see that, would he be able to travel for free with us in seated accommodation as it the case on normal services? If not for £94 each way he's going to be staying at home! I was wondering would he be allowed in the brake van/ guards van once...
4 of us are looking into doing this in the new year some time. 4 16-25 railcards and a large dog ideally! How cheap can it be done? I notice Serco have binned the Bargain berths which is a shame. Extremely flexible on dates and planning to do 2-3 nights in Scotland. Ideally we want the beds and...
I've looked for some but not found any decent firsts. The Super off peak is cheaper via Grantham (by less than a £1 of memory serves me correctly) as I missed the last connecting Grantham service and excesses 55p! Will have another look when I'm home- cheers chaps!
One of my friends needs to travel down for work, and ideally needs 1st class to get on the wifi and get some work done! They have a 16-25 railcard, and ideally need to arrive before 12, leaving anytime, can go quite late if it's cheap enough!
Can it beat the £39 super off peak EMT are...
Ok, I found the fare but no times! So close! Especially with £4 singles to Bournemouth from Southampton

Ok so I carried on looking but nothing worthwhile this week. Can anyone help with next friday?
Cheers!
Spent a morning messing around with splits from Nottingham all the way to Bournemouth and I've only got as far as £52.10 :(
Plan is to go on this Friday after 3pm and come back anytime on Sunday with a 16-25 railcard.
I went for Nottingham- Leamington Spa off-peak return £16.50...
The problem with barriers is that they shut off entrances inconvenient to the TOC. Warwick Road from Coventry without having to go through the concourse has been the difference between catching a London train or missing it for me in the past- interestingly they never reopened it after the...
