LM saying not to travel Sunday - apparently emergency works necessitating closure until midday
E: having said that National Rail saying different, so who knows
Funding confirmed in the Budget today, for the Bicester - Bletchley and MK - Princes Risborough ‘Western Phase Two’
Intention - it’s a long time away in politics! - for passenger services by 2023
Apparently the operator names will be
“London Northwestern” for the WCML Services, and “West Midlands Railway” for the rest

Genuinely don't know why they sent off a 4-car for all stops to Tring when they had a 12-car train on platform 18 and three 8-car trains on 8/10/11. Those four trains hung about for the best part of an hour until they sent off the 1852 an hour late..
So they send off a 4-car service to Tring, stopping everywhere after Watford
And leave 2x8-car and 1x12-car on the platforms doing nothing? That doesn’t make much sense to passengers
They should just hand the franchise over now. They’ve basically thrown in the towel at Euston.
Can’t they turn trains at WFJ? The Overground is fine. Meanwhile, 1 LM train has left in the past 45 mins..
Seen a few references to Tring - you could indeed use the two platforms there, but it's a relatively rural station, with limited bus service to the town with no room to turn/queue coaches, no disabled access etc
You'd just drop people off and they'd have nowhere to go to that they couldn't get...
Curious to know.. normally when there's a building collapse etc it takes a while to assess and make safe
I don't think this fire was on NR land, so do they have some powers to demolish/rebuild retaining walls if it's likely to cause a safety issue?
Or is it something insurers get sorted...
