I spent about six months doing Gerrards Cross to High Wycombe in the peaks, a leisurely 15 miles is or so. Paid for by my employer as a relocation expense, always a seat, plenty of services in each direction, was quite a relaxing trip :)
I think Euston underground needs more emergency exits - getting six platforms into two escalators is unworkable, especially when they drop down to one next month.
I don't know whether the down escalators were switched off and used as stairs, I guess if staff aren't around it's up to us to press...
I was caught up in the mess at Euston last night. Got off a train to a full platform and emergency evacuation announcements.
It struck me how long it took to get out. Approx 20 minutes from train to mainline station. Meanwhile, more trains stopping behind.
I think it would have been quicker to...
I'm surprised there isn't a standardised list of 'reasons'.
It would seem sensible to have an approved list rather than describing it in a random way which may be misunderstood..?
Plenty of photos on the Watford Observer site now

Guessing it collided with the 0634 service to Birmingham New Street

Guessing it's in the tunnel or partially in it? Be a lot of people on board with no mobile signal. Hope they can be rescued quickly.
Bump
I wanted to use SN for a journey from Leighton Buzzard to Wembley tomorrow, via LM/LO it will take a lot longer. Are the services to Milton Keynes still being curtailed?
I don't think it would be that tricky (but very time consuming!) to work out the positions of each berth on a Google Maps layer, draw the main routes on it, then find the train positions from the berth information used by opentraintimes etc, then interpolate the train position along the berth...
LM's 2B10 has failed at Tring platform 5 and up slow services are running through platform 4, so there's your chance to travel over that northern junction for platform 4 :D
Also .. another 319 failure! LM should have kept the 321s ..
Thanks Silverlinky. It just feels so amateur. Surely LM would have known the state of the 319s before they got them; this mini cascade has been in the running for a year.
Losing some 350s unexpectedly is fair enough, but why let the 321s go until all the 319s were ready for passenger service?
