A very simple question I cant find a definitive answer to anywhere through testimony or pictures.
There is a double bay platform at Llandudno Junction one half of it is used and numbered platform 2.
As long as I have been alive and even before my lifetime through old pictures I cant ever...

I couldn't find it at first on RTT but then found it after a bit of looking. It seems it started at Llandudno Junction went to Bangor did a...
Today I ended up on a 150 from Holyhead to Maesteg.....that is a beast of a journey. ( I luckily was on a very short part of that)
Can anyone beat it ? Mileage or time wise but only on a pacer, 153, 150, or something equally as shocking.
The rail delivery group have to day announced that those affected by the collapse of Thomas Cook will still be able to get home on different trains to the booked ones even with advance tickets, or refunds if yet to travel.
Nice to see everyone trying to do their bit support the hundreds of...
The last few weeks TfW have been cancelling trains quite a lot due to "shortage of drivers"
Trains terminating short, cancelled throughout and today has seen numerous cancellation along the north wales coast and towards Crewe and Shrewsbury.
Rail replacement bus has been ordered from Chester...
A friend is stuck in chaotic traffic scenes on the A55 on a busy Friday afternoon due to 3 x train carriages on their way to Holyhead travelling extremely slowly.
No pictures unfortunately.
Does anybody know which 3 coaches these are and where they are heading and who for?
Transpenine express?
So, I am generally not one for moaning, I understand safety, I know work has to be done to keep us all safe.
I will try not to turn this into a rant, but...
The Llandudno branch doesn't have a Sunday service for at a guess 42 Sundays a year.; that leaves 42 Sundays a year for maintenance and...
I love the mark III coaches, I love standing by the door with the window open and wind in my hair ( I don't have any hair, but you get the idea)
Now they have central locking on the doors couldn't they just put a handle on the inside also and limit the window gap so you can't put your head...
I heard about this and the chaos that ensued last night. Wrongly on my part, I assumed suicide as there have been many sadly on the North Wales coast.
Apparently this is currently being treated as an accident.
This will no doubt create more questions about user operated crossings.
Article...
Hi I am sure we have discussed this movement somewhere before but I cant find the thread and can't remember why it happens!

So could anyone enlighten me on
a) why they don't run this service as a passenger service even if it...
A former transport council transport chief has suggested re opening the line, which would need a tunnel and 3 miles of brand new track bed and infrastructure, the "plan" a 4 year old could have drawn.
Anyway....here is the link and article...
I went to catch a train from Llandudno Junction to Llandudno on Friday night.
All sorts of drama meant we ended up with a 6 car train to Llandudno. Unheard of. 2 x 150 and a 158 .
We could only sit in one car, the last car of the 158 ( at the rear) as all of the rest of the train had...
Hello, just noticed whilst looking at booking tickets to Wrexham that any via shotton are not available for purchase.
I have travelled to Liverpool and Wrexham changing at Shotton in the past and never had any issues.
Have I being in the wrong doing so in the Wrexham direction or has...
Another near miss at this user worked crossing for large vehicles to avoid a low bridge. The third incident in the last 4 years. All incidents had been granted permission by the signaller. This time from ROC in Cardiff rather than the local signal man as previously...
so I just received a phone call from a friend who has been made to purchase a new ticket for £158.00
after already paying £90.00 for an off peak return Llandudno Junction - Euston.
Got to the gate line and was told his ticket is not valid after 15.00 and before 19.00 this clearly isn't true...
I feel it is probably to late as I think the owner of these will be in London by now.
But I just came across these tickets found on the lost and found Liverpool facebook page .
If anyone does recognise or heard of someone leaving with only half of their tickets somebody has them if you need them
The Queen and Meghan Markle have opened the new Mersey gateway bridge today and are having Lunch in Chester. They arrived in Runcorn after overnighting on the Royal Train
The queen opted to stay overnight on the Royal train rather than a very early start this morning.
I know security etc...
I came across this on a local history page on facebook yesterday.
Somebody has done a marvellous job of cleaning up the footage so I thought it would be nice to share it here.
This is a great little video of the Irish mail amongst other trains.
