Chopped I believe. Last time I saw it was 29th Aug and it was next in line for the scrap. Unit 213 was behind it in line and that was chopped this week so I cant see it would have escaped or been let off for good behaviour.
From my observations 313213 was cut this week, coach 62605 succumbed today. 313217 is indeed next in line. 313 205 is visible with 208 and the coach from 216 in and around the prep area. The only other units I can see in the holding sidings would be 206, 212 and 201 on one track and 215 on its...
I was on a Portsmouth to north train, the previously mentioned 21 Aug 1982 one and they left Guildford on electric and as I was hanging out of the window watching I know they switched to diesel on the fly during the slow down at the site of the former junction between Wanborough and Ash. The...
211 was being split yesterday ready for the chop. Last coach of 203 was dealt with yesterday. 313205 is the unit sat on the siding by 213 and has been there over a month now. 313208 has been shunted over and is currently attached to the remaining coach 62608 of unit 313216. Its beginning to...
As an infrequent visitor to London I liked travelcards from the south coast due to the ease of use. I dont think I have an issue using contactless but have one question. If two or more are travelling does each person have to use a different debit card (even if linked to the same bank account)...
I understand the reason the OP is doing this but it does seem a really convoluted permitted route should someone actually want to go from Poole so although clearly its covered by routeing guides I wouldnt be at all surprised at a few raised eyebrows when presented with the ticket if the guy...
Update from the fence. 313203 now split and being readied for scrap. 313211 is now shunted across and is next in line it would seem. Single car from 216 is still sitting there outside the small shed
Hi does anybody know what 0Z43 from Dagenham Dosk to Eastleigh Arlington was yesterday. Hard to believe it was an HST. Then formed a 6Z43 from the works to Eastleigh yard
Update from a colleague on an official visit to Eastleigh on Saturday and observation from the bridge Tuesday 313210 has now been cut up and 219 is now on the scrap line being separated into individual coaches with 62611 first in line. Interestingly no flame cuts have been taken (yet ?) so unit...
yes Carl has some good official photos from inside the works. At the risk of sparking a whole new debate, the comment on the 7th June batch will no doubt awaken 442 fans !
Arlington has a strict no photo policy in the works so only views from the bridge are public, most usually in this thread from contributor Camerar1. The source are my two eyes and I will not break the Arlington rules....sorry
Seems like a typical tabloid clickbait article. Does the boss of Raleigh cycle to meetings, or even the Nike Chairman be expected to jog there ? Common sense says make best use of your time. I used to travel from Southampton to Glasgow and with hand baggage, preprinted boarding pass could rock...
I would agree with your Sunday assessment in your first picture. 207 is no more and the final coach of unit 204 (62532) awaits it fate with unit 209 the next to go then two coaches of 216 although whether they follow 209 to oblivion may depend on whether more shunting is done.
