    Agree, the fact its on private land does in no way preclude it being a public right of way, and like a lot of footpaths it becomes very messy to resolve if in dispute.

    I only ask as I plan to make a similar Journeys if/when the current travel restrictions are eased and have a number of Vouchers to use and can see myself in similar situations again as I often use BUK( no facilities) or LEO ( limited opening times) or NWT if travelling on the Cambrian Coast.

    I agree, Residency will have different definitions in different countries, we even had different definitions between England and Scotland when we had the "Poll" tax, which meant you could be resident in both countries and have to pay the tax twice

    I seem to remember I read somewhere that wooden sleepers are used over some bridges as they act as damper to some dynamic loads into the bridge structure. Does anyone know if this is true?
