We walk to the station area of the Lincolnshire Wolds Railway, but being November, there is no service today, so we just see how they have progressed with their works in the area then we make our way back and board the 1122 Stagecoach in Lincolnshire service 51 to Grimsby (Riverside bus station) that arrives there at 1155 on Tuesday morning.

A bit out of character this move

We make our way to the station for the 1234 TPE departure to Manchester Airport arriving at 1526 Tuesday afternoon

We reach the platform just in time to see our +3 connection disappear, so we wait for the 16:00 TPE service to Preston Railway Station arriving there at 16:55 Tuesday Afternoon

We next board the 1753 Virgin Trains service to Haymarket that arrives at 2016 on Tuesday evening.

We decide to take an evening journey to one of Scotland's new towns, Livingston. The 2025 Scotrail service arrives at Livingston North arriving at 2041 on Tuesday.

The time of day is not really conducive to the exploration of this area so we decide to head in a westerly onwards direction by rail and board the 2111 First ScotRail service to Helensburgh Central that arrives there at 2258 on Tuesday evening.

We take the short walk up to Helensburgh Upper station, and joing the 23:24 First ScotRail Highland Caledonian Sleeper service to Preston, arriving 04:32 Wednesday morning.

Just a matter of a few minutes to wait before we board the 2351 First ScotRail Highland Caledonian sleeper service to Crewe that arrives there at 0538 on Wednesday morning.

We hang around Crewe for a few minutes before jumping on the 06:07 EMT service to Peartree arriving there at 07:20 on Wednesday.

An early morning change of mode of travel sees us walk from the railway station to the bus stop on Newdigate Road where we board the 0733 Arriva Derby service 38 to Derby bus station that arrives there at 0750 on Wednesday morning.

We have time for breakfast before catching Wardles's X50 service at 0915 to Blythe Bridge (station) arriving at 1040 Wednesday morning

We enter the railway station in good time to board the 1121 EMT service to Alsager that arrives at 1149 on Wednesday morning.

Still continuing southerly, we board the 1456 LM service to Northampton that arrives at 1542 on Wednesday afternoon.

Seeing as things have gone a little quiet, it's quite appropriate that we should be sent to Coventry on the next move on the 1555 London Midland service arriving at 1629 on Wednesday.

We next take the 1642 Virgin Trains service to Birmingham New Street that arrives at 1708 on Wednesday afternoon.

We decide to visit a very pleasant settlement that is home to you-know-who and board the 1858 Northern service to Prestbury that arrives there at 1924 on Wednesday evening.

We take the 20:24 Northern service to Cheadle Hulme, arriving 20:36 Wednesday

We walk out of the railway station, down Station Road to the junction at Ladybridge Road and board the 2045 Stagecoach Manchester service 369 to Wythenshawe bus station that arrives there at 2058 on Wednesday evening.

After spotting my mother walking down Rowlandsway, we decide to make a quick escape on the first bus that comes, the 21:05 Arriva North West route 19 to Woodhouse Park, Shadow Moss Road, arriving 21:09 Wednesday.

Such is the excellent timing of the last arrival that we are afforded an opportunity to travel on one of the four evening extended services to a landmark of the area and we board the 2114 Stagecoach Manchester service 104 to Wythenshawe Hospital that arrives at the two-stand bus station there at 2128 on Wednesday evening.

After visiting the hospital and receiving a nice cup of coffee, we then board the 22:40 Arriva North West no 19 Service to Altrincham (Altrincham Interchange) arriving there at 23:21 Wenesday afternoon

Time for some light rail travelling, so after some time, we board the 0020 Manchester Metrolink service to Trafford Bar Metrolink station that arrives there at 0035 on Thursday morning.

after looking hard, we find another journey, and board the 01:31 JP Travel no 256 to Flixton (Towns Gate) arriving there at 01:54 Thursday monring

We decide to call it a night, and resume travelling on the 06:41 Stagecoach Manchester route 15 to Brooks's Bar, arriving 07:21 Thursday
