A wildly off-topic discussion on whether or not "Bruar" is the name of a place has been deleted.

Here is my position on the issue:

• Bruar is shown as a place in some sources and not others. (Here is a link to it shown on an OS map.)
• The sole acceptable reason for objecting to the name someone has supplied for a stop is that it is ambiguous as to which stop is meant. This is the same principle that we use for e.g. bus company names.
• In this case the information supplied in the post at the moment is "Bruar (House of Bruar on B8079)", and as far as I can tell this is unambiguous. The original information was simply "House of Bruar" and this might be ambiguous, or at least difficult to find at first.

The use of colour text is completely unnecessary for most posts made on the forum. The forum rules state "You should avoid the use of excessive formatting, and make reasonable efforts to use legible fonts." If any moderator or quizmaster thinks a post breaks this rule it is likely to be edited or deleted.

Let's not have any more discussion on either of these issues on the thread, please.

backontrack as much as you'd have loved to have taken us back to the highest parts of Scotland, that journey on the 1600 wouldn't have been valid as Kings Cross has a minimum connection time of 15 minutes being classed as a large railway station. Gutted.

However, what a surprise we are back in Scotland. Time to sample some local transport in Edinburgh now as we exit Waverley station and head outside to Princes Street, where we board the 2251 Lothian Buses service 25 to Riccarton (Sports Centre/The Avenue), arriving there at 2323 on Friday evening.
